cant see haye having any kind of chance. he was 100/1 last time i checked. i got graeme mcdowell at 26/1 just before the ryder cup and am praying it comes through. tony mccoy is currently favourite.

to be honest- i wouldn't even give haye a british boxer of the year award let alone the BBC sports personality award.

    Tit-on-a-bike?

Most successful Olympic male cyclist of all time.

If you want to take the **** out of anyone winning it, try Zara Phillips. I still don't have a clue who she is.

What about Joe C and Ryan Giggs then?

The award has descended into such a farce no one even knows what they are voting for.

Should be McCoy without doubt, but bet Ennis will get it, she will clearly be the face of the 2012 olympics so makes sense.

    Kevin Mitchell in the Guardian:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2010/nov/29/sports-personality-of-the-year-alternate

"The stand-out candidates are David Haye, Amir Khan and Carl Froch, who retained or regained legitimate world titles. Haye's work is devalued through no fault of his own (one faded opponent and another who folded when the bell went). So it has to be Amir Khan for a quite excellent defence of his title against Paulie Malignaggi."

What crap. Haye takes "no fault" for ducking the K2 brothers? And Khan over Froch...why? (And personally I prefer Amir to Carl.)

Khan goes over to the States at the age of 23 to defend his title or Haye taking on a joke of a fighter in a joke of a fight or Froch putting on a master class on Sat night vs a good fighter.

It's a hard one but I think Haye aswell for the fight of the year vs the great Harrison wow what a fight, BBC are spot on.

Audley Harrison at 40 years of age, would beat every other British Heavyweight in the country, and beat most of the other europeans.

The Bottom line is, David Haye's oponents and sparring partners.

"They know what he is going to do, and they still can't do nothing about it"

David Haye is the real deal.
