Now Audley's doing Strictly Come Dancing, his stock may rise above Haye's...

I think Haye would get beat by a lot of heavyweights out there, chris arreola would knock him out, Haye is delusional

Is this with the benefit of hindsight (after Wlad), or have you always thought this?

I still think Haye is one of the best heavyweights out there, he just needs a different trainer.

Haye was up and down like a yoyo in the Wlad fight, couldn't seem to stay on his feet at all, often without a meaningful punch toppling him, so I don't think that his balance is all that. Vitali slipped just the once, which is hardly proof of clumsiness, whereas I have never seen a fighter in a top level fight falling over as much as Haye did that night.

  7. I think the reason that Haye was constatnly going down was due to the fact he didn't want Wlad pressing down on him, he was trying to get the referee to stop the clinchinging of Wlad and penalise him.

Personally, I think it would've been more prudent to actually try and work on the inside rather than Haye dropping to his knees constantly.

Most on here have got it right, it's Haye or someone worse really.

That said i certainly won't be fooled again, Haye has about as much chance of winning as this has of being an entertaining fight.

Some people took Haye’s behaviour really personally – probably the poor effect of Harrison stinker carrying over. I was disappointed in him (especially the constant complaining in the ring – it was below him) but hey, I’d like to see him regain some of the fire-with-fire attitude he used to have. I’ll still watch him.

I still believe he has the skill, talent and athletic gifts to beat Wlad. I think he needs a new approach in his corner regards tactics, someone like Naseem Richardson, to enhance the good work that Booth does.

But he has to be prepared to prove he deserves another shot. Him against Povetkin would be good. Similarly, beating Arreola would raise some interest (even though Arreola’s pish) if he could do it in better fashion than Vitali managed.

Haye will land on Vitali a helluva lot more than he landed on Wladimir, but he wont knock him out. I always said haye would have a better chance of beating Vitali that Wladimir so im gonna go with haye again.... but im not ****in payin for it :bart

After watching Haye/Wlad a few times i'm convinced Haye needs only 1 thing, more volume.

he needs to throw more, thats it, theres nothing else missing that he can get, but his low volume is a big impediment

Yes, fair point - but whether it was the result of poor balance or a deliberate tactic to mitigate against Wlad's extra strength/weight then it was still embarrassing and reinforced the position of those who have said since that he never belonged at that level. However damaging some of the trash talk was to his image, unfortunately I think that the performance in the ring was more so. But I take your point.

Completely agree with you about the working inside - indeed, that was the only tactic that I thought would give him a prayer - that was the most disappointing aspect, for me. Anyway, rambling myself into a digression, for which apologies!

Haye-Vitali is fine as a fight, given the lack of other big fights out there for Vitali, but I think that it is just Haye collecting the cheque. He didn't want anything to do with Vitali prior to being beaten by Wlad, and would be doing this, in my opinion, to bank a lot of retirement money. He might not have netted that much, up to now, compared with the lifestyle he wants to lead. He might also think that he has a puncher's chance of beating Vitali and retiring as champ, in his own mind putting himself up there with Lewis.

Wlad swatted Haye like a fly in the first round and Haye was thrown to the canvas.

You could see Vitali moving Adamek around the ring too.

Haye will not be able to get inside either of the Klitschko's. They can swat him out of the way or just grab him.

I've never seen any Klitschko opponents being so easily moved around than Haye and Adamek.

Anyway..big V wants to HURT Haye badly.
