Absolutely, looking back his path to Wlad was planned perfectly. For him, not necessarily for the fans though. I wonder what he would've done if he fought Wlad the first time and was beaten. Where would he of went?
no matter what is said you have an answer...... if i said the sun rises in the morning you would find a way of saying it doesnt.
Round in circles. He became known in hw for having a big mouth, if you want to believe otherwise go ahead. :thumbsup
And the fact the HW division was that garbage a Cruiserweight with a big gob could get straight to the top of the queue. From a selfish perspective, he played a blinder TBH. Got a belt, earned a **** load of money in defences and got his shot at Wlad on good financial terms.
Just a shame he didn't have the self-belief to make a go of it on the night. Must have been frustrating in the crowd, Gaz.
Even more of a bonus when public perception dont mean **** to you, cause the only consquence of the way Haye's played it, is that he's disliked by a lot of people, but when you dont give a ****, does it matter? That said said, I think there is a balance to be had between maintaining a level of respect whilst still make a lot of money.
I can't complain. My pick before the fight was for Haye not to get past the jab and lose. I never had it down for an exciting fight. Fighters rarely seem to "go for it" against the Klits, they just steadily get discouraged until they either get stopped or lose on points. I honestly didn't think Haye would be any different mentally, the issue was that did he have the physical qualities to ensure the fight didn't go down that route.....he didn't and the fight played out pretty predictably.
Yep. Your actions define you, not your words Thing is, so many people try to avoid the shotgun, as though to offset it. People are not going in thinking about what they are going to do, they are too preoccupied with negating what the Klits do, so essentially, they're already thinking defense to create offense, when the best way to beat a Klit, is not to allow them to get off first and dictate to you, but to do that, you gotta be prepared to take a few licks, and Haye aint got the chin for that.
Helenius probably. He would likely get destroyed but at least if he gets an opening he will make the most of it, best finisher in the division. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Fury vs Vitali in the next year. Fury has little chance of winning but I think it would be a great spectacle seeing two giants with great chins and both with very high punch outputs go at it until one is flattened after the halfway point, with that being Fury no doubt. I suspect Haye vs Vitali will happen, but it wont be a good fight with Haye as he has shown against men bigger than him already. Just another Ibragimov like performance by Haye as he attempts to nick it on points by the skin of his teeth.
It also just seemed a complete lack of tactics. Ive read plenty of sparring reports about the brothers and their struggles with guys that get down low and work the body. But Haye isnt Joe Frazier and his punching form was so poor on the night. I think youre right the dimensions and lack of schooling make it difficult to offset what the brothers do. I really believe Haye needs someone like Richardson to work on those things before even thinking about a fight with Vitali.
