Always thought Haye at his best was a bad matchup for AJ. Sharp and explosive counter puncher who's power clearly carried to HW.
You really can't pick post Pulev AJ against most punchers at least not confidently. Certainly not here. Both shaky chins, both big punchers, but peak vs peak, I have to go with Haye because I believe he is more at home in a fire fight which would eventually break out at some point.
Two big punchers with glass jaws. Hopefully they both land big right hands at the same time for a double KO. When they regain consciousness, we get to see Haye hobbling around showing his sore little toe to everyone at ringside and all TV cameras, while AJ takes the microphone "Hip hip! Cousin Benga! I can't fight! Pray for me!" The Best of British.
Prime Joshua every day of the week over Haye, we saw prime Haye fight like a coward against Klitchsko
Haye loose big % off his class and skills when he fight bigger, stronger dude with good punch. He look bad with Walujew, he look average vs Klitschko. He even dont look terrific vs Harrison who was his friend. When Haye know that he can be KOED he always try focus on defence first. He aint soo scary then. I know ppl now will be making Joshua loser but that's just not truth. Think a little. Nobody weak will beat Povetkin, Klitschko, Parker, Ruiz, prime Whyte.
Haye was always cautious against guys who had power. I would still lean towards him. If the right hand lands it is lights out, and AJ is a bit stiff and moves back in a straight line, so hard to see him not landing something significant.
Povetkin beat prime whyte Klitschko 41, way past prime Parker too tentative, not allowed to fight close by ref and not prime but good win Ruiz prime smashed Joshua to bits Povetkin was old, but a decent win Joshua doesn't have a great resume, neither does Fury
Off course he got great resume. All this dudes was in reality in top 10 of the division. Some on top 3-5. Also Wallin was in top 10, and Pulev was in top 10 but because not being active he lost his position. Ruiz prime xD That's funny. Off course his prime end after first fight xD
Can see I’m in the minority here but I’m siding with Joshua. Always felt Haye was overrated at heavy and would’ve been found out big time against the current lot. Don’t get me wrong if Joshua fights like he did last week then he gets knocked out but him on his best day beats Haye imo.
