I don't hate Haye, I think he's a **** talking clown who is only out for money but if he did step up to fight a Klitschko I would have nothing but respect for him, however history has taught me not to believe a word he or Booth say.

Chef knows more about negotiations than anyone else on this forum, he is the Klitschko camp manager. Either he gets his info from the Klitschkos or he is really good at making **** up that turns out to be correct.

I think the fight will happen. Haye/ Booth just saw the soft £5 million (or whatever) on offer for the Harrison fight and thought "Why not? The Klits will still be there in the summer"

Boente was the one who suggested paying the diffence on ringside, not Booth.

    Now what is the problem?

I await a proper response as we have only really had the one side yet and I like balance.

But I imagine Waldo's response will be along the lines of 'we had a signed contract........ Then he was going to fight by brother Vitali.......'

I doubt he will get near to resolving the issue for us!!!

Exactly and the truth of it is there is not one person on this forum that would not have done the same thing.

The funny thing is Harrisson exactly fits the proflie of a Klit opponent and if the fight with Haye had not happened I am convinced he would have faught one of them.

All the Klit fans would have been saying he is a credible opponent as the Olympic and Euro Champion.

Too early to make a judgment on what's going on. Haye is talking the right talk but talk is cheap. THIS FIGHT HAS TO HAPPEN! No more excuses, and that goes for both sides. Just split everything 50:50...it's not complicated. Someone like Don King could get this one signed in an instant.

As far as I can tell Booth has not taken Boente up on his offer of going around to all these rival tv companies who are apparently willing to pay more for the fight. That is what Boente offered. Where is ARD's offer? For all we know there is no rival offer. Why hasn't Booth, Mr Transparency himself, made the offer public? Let's not forget that Haye knew before he called out the Klitschkos that they were tied to RTL, when he signed with Sauerland he created this tv network problem as he knew what the deal was with RTL and ARD. Now he's trying to twist it so it looks like Klitschko is at fault.

Anyway, Klitschko has not said no to 50-50, first off he can't turn down his own offer and there is obviously something more to this tv deal that we don't know of which Klitschko is not happy with.

It looks to me like Booth and Haye are doing exactly what they accused K2 of doing, saying one thing in public and another in the negotiations.

It's amazing how people can pick and choose who they believe in things like this, as if one camp are the bastions of honour and the other are evil. e.g. Booth and Haye come out with something and its not to be believed, but if Bernt whatever his name is says something then it must be true.

Whats the deal with that? All these guys are slippery underhand *******s and as far as I know nobody has ever had a clue what has been taking place because nobody here sat at the table as the negotiations took place.

Man...it is what it is. Boxing negotiations are political as ****, it will either happen or it won't but scrutinizing every thing that comes out in the press is going to be a painful and unfulfilling experience.

Very true. Boxing promoters are as straight as a corkscrew and a mountain of salt is needed whenever they speak.

Bönte said he'd happily pay the difference an offer by a rival TV station signed by an EXECUTIVE OFFICER. Watch what Bönte said word by word: He said another TV station would never even try to outbid RTL. He'd be surprised if they did and he'd happily pay the difference then.

Do we know Booth provided a signed offer? Or did he just throw some number out and want Bönte to pay up without providing a signed counter-offer? :deal

Both are ultra cagey in the first. Wlad always lets it go in the 2nd round, when he does it's all over, Wlad KO2 Haye IMO.
