The fight will be the fourth blockbusting world title fight shown on Sky Box Office this year. We brought you Ricky Hatton's massive showdown with pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas in May and Amir Khan's sensational win over Marco Antonio Barrera, followed by his recent crowning as WBA light-welterweight champion.

The above appears on the Sky website. This is too near the Pacman fight for 2 PPV events, and as it specifically mentions the 4th show this rules out a September PPV show

That would be to many PPV's in too much of a short time span.

I would also suspect Pac and Cotto to be the same.

They may do a deal (unlikely...) where it is £25 for the 3 PPV's and £15 for each.

The Barrera fight wasn't a world title fight. Neither was Hatton-Pacquiao.

Hatton - Pacquio WAS a world title fight.

Noway should PBF and Pac-Cotto be ppv, we should be showing these on regular SKy so most people can see it. PPV will kill any interest in boxing.

I dont mind paying for PPV events. I love boxing after all. However i dont think many casual fans will be buying all these PPV's maybe with Haye and Valuev being so close to Pac v Cotto they'l do a deal such as buy the Haye PPV pay certain amount less for Cotto v Pacman.

I do mind paying out for PPVs it is a ****ing joke. They dont pay a lot of money for the rights of the fights to air in the UK and Ireland. Look at Setanta they done a deal with Top Rank and other promotors and it wasn't huge amount of money they paid for the fights compared to the football. What I think is Sky are paying x amount for a fight and if it goes to PPV they make more money than what they paid for the fight. We dont know how much money they spent to get this fight but if Setanta could afford to get the fights with less money than BSKYB then it says it all they are screwing every single boxing fan. If you pay out to watch the fights they will keep bringing out these PPVs. It is only a matter of time before Friday Fight Night goes PPV. If more people complaine about PPVs fights they may do something about it. The prices they charge is a joke in a recession charging people extra money the way it is most people dont know if they will have a job next month but these ****ers will charge you for subscribing to there sports a extra fee for what you should be getting for free.
