I think i'd steer you specifically towards "Larry Donald or someone crap", which sounds so like something a really bad poster would write I nearly pissed myself. Incidently, he also revealed his top 5 HW's all time 1 - Ali 2 - Lewis 3 - George Foreman 4 - Jack Johnson 5 - Joe Frazier Could be a deliberate mistake, but I don't think so
I'm not saying he can't express his opinion . . . he should at least give other fighters some respect because he is not rated yet. Like what I'm saying he has to earn some credibilty first . . . by being arrogant a lot of boxing fans will be applauding the first time he gets KTFOed by any heavy weight opponent. He is earning more hatred that adoration.
Don't you think that's ridiculous?, I mean I'm a fan of Haye but the man has done NOTHING in the heavyweight division yet to be ranked anywhere, let alone top 5 for God's sake. Haye is just doing a great job of talking smack to gather enough haters and supporters to his first heavyweight fight like it's a megafight. Smart move, yet anyone supporting any claims from him right now need to be patient and watch some more of him at heavyweight before believing or supporting what he says. I'm a fan of his all the way but would prefer to see some action from him in the heavyweight division before he gets a major shot.
That's his goal and he's doing a terrific job if you ask me, he wants to make sure he has every boxing fan out there tuned in for his heavyweight fight soon, whoever the opponent is he wants people to tune-in. If he succeeds you can imagine from there how HUGE a fight with Wladimir(if he beats Povetkin) would be.
Okay, I understand where you are coming from. But it's not like he is saying "Klitschko is a big ****-knocker. He's a bog-eyed chimp." His position is actually pretty logical, most of what he said is reasonable, ALL of it is defendable, I think. As far as this "he has to earn some respect/make a reputaiton" thing that some guys are mentioning, he is the undisputed #1 in his division, and it could be argued that he should rate above Klitshcko p4p. He is NOT a protected fighter stepping into top class waters. He has fought top class men. I don't think the fuss would be the same if Margarito was talking smack about the MW division having beaten a journeyman Middleweight with ease.
Vitali is certainly not a legend or an all time great but he should be respected. He has some good wins that came by vicious KOs, including Kirk Johnson (first ever), Danny Williams, Corrie Sanders and Larry Donald (first ever). He also fought well vs Lewis, although people should not act like he won it. He was beating Byrd handily until having an injury. The same people who called the Klitschkos quitters did not seem to have as harsh a judgement on Lamon Brewster when he quit, without having sustained an injury, against Wlad. Quite the opposite Brewster is or at least was considered to have a lot of heart.
I don´t really care what Haye says as long as he ends up fighting top heavyweight opponents. It will be how he does in these fights that matters, not what he says. His talk would only annoy me if he would then face journeymen only and duck the top fighters, but I think he actually wants to make meaningful fights, so I´m happy about it.
Very good amature, been a boxing all his life, no1 at CW held multiple belts there. Yea thats not credabilty you loser. What you on about boxing and wwe, get a life....boxers talk to stir up publicity thats it, nothing to do with wwe, wwf, nspca, lapd etc..lol If he wants to call another fighter shite so he can set up a fight down the line with him, provided he wins (thats his problem, not yours) and stir up publicity in a sport which needs it, then thats fine by me. I like fighters who want to go for the best in the division, instead of some fighters pickin on lil'ens (ala OLDH).
Totally agree, whether he wins that another matter, but i'm sure he will take fights that progress him towards a title quick.
