i'm no klit nuthugger, but to write off lewis as simply 'old and fat' is nuts. yes, it wasn't the most fit lewis we'd seen and lewis was 37/38, but lewis was "the man" no doubt at the time and had recently been fighting at the best level he had ever reached. i don't necessarily remember too much serious talk of lewis' retirement until after the vitaly fight.

vitaly was lewis' equal for half the fight and that's saying something. i'm not a lewis fan either, but he's a hof'er and a moderately ranked hw atg and his form wasn't too far off his best when vitaly fought him.

when haye dominates a hw of even danny williams calibre, then he would be qualified to express his opinion, right now it's all a bid to keep the public's fascination while he takes a year to "fill out" so that he's competent to fight oleg maskaev's dead corpse.

Boxrec rankings are computerized and automated.

Interviews don't make a lick of difference.

    WBO?

So did you call Francesco Damiani a "champion" during Tyson's heyday?
Or Michael Bentt during the Holyfield-Bowe era?

The WBOgus belt is worth slightly less than ZERO.

I don't care...it's still a belt. Haye is wrong with what he says about Vitali. Haye would be the 36th guy to be knocked out by Vitali. 35th will be Peter.

So OK, he won the vacant WBC title against Corrie Sanders and then defended it against Danny Williams and that's it! That's it! That's his heavyweight legacy?

Maybe Vitali is no legacy, but he had won the WBO title years before. He was a kick boxing world champion (6 titles). He tkoed an old but still very dangerous Sanders who himself would've won against David "my second name is weak chin" Haye. He gave Lewis one of his hardest fights.

Talk is cheap and Haye has yet to prove that his skills are as big as his mouth.

Well the sane people among us do care.

Are you saying that Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe and Lennox were never actually undisputed champions because they didn't beat Damiani, Bentt and Hide???
