Haye or Bellew?

As I said he can punch the same as most boxers I.e. he can finish an opponent but he isn't especially heavy handed just the same dig as most boxers have who you don't necessarily class as having dynamite in their fists. He was deemed heavy handed as an amateur but for some reason for me he hasn't transferred that to his pro career. My point is yes like most boxers he can finish an opponent but he is not especially heavy handed as he likes to make out. Haye however is and that is universally accepted even by Bellew

 

I think he is very heavy handed to be honest. But if you were going for a straight comparison then Haye carries the bigger power of the 2 id agree. Bellews chance comes down to Haye's perceived lack of whiskers and more relevant total inactivity of any kind alongside never being in a tough contest for 5 years

 

If you listen to a lot of people in and around the game ex fighter etc like Jamie Moore they all say Tony can bang.
I think he's got decent power Flores and Makubu may not be great fighters but he completely switched Makubu off and that takes some doing at any level and Flores had never been stopped and is usually durable. I always think the lack of KO's is du to how wild he is at times. He has power but does he always have the tools to deliver it.. He seems to miss most of right hands.

Haye is the bigger puncher no doubt - world class puncher in his prime especially at cruiser but have the injuries taken thier toll. I'm not fan on the fight but I do find it interesting if Bellew can take this a few rounds at a decent pace how is Haye going to hold up? Even in his prime he liked time to reset and rest before unloading. I think Haye will win i think his style beats Toney's but there is that nagging feeling at the back of my mind that Haye really may be shot to pieces.

Biggest question i have about this fight is if it's going to turn into a Haye/Harrison II staring contest with Bellew doing his best back foot 'boxer' impression and Haye his normal counter punching self unwilling and incapable of initiating anything. I hope it turns into a live by the gun die by the gun shootout but i won't be counting on it.

The three best fighter Flores has ever faced in his career are Shumenov, Green and Wilson. BJ walks around at 220-230lbs while Shumenov is a LHW and Green SMW yet he was running from Green and weary of his power. I do think Bellew has some pop but knocking out Flores tells us absolutely nothing.

N'Dam is clearly not a big puncher yet he one punch KO'd Blanco face first and left both his legs shaking worse than Johansson this weekend.

 

N'dam isn't totally feather fisted i suppose and we have no idea how good Blanco but that's some KO.

I suppose a KO is never cut and dried - under the right circumstances even relative non punchers can produce hightlight reel stoppages.

I still think TB's last two stoppages have shown isnt feather fisted

 

Well as a pro the only other noteworthy guy he's fought is the iron tough Khomitsky who arguably beat Murray but he was a top amateur and in the 07 Worlds had a spectacular run beating Degale, Sutherland, Singh and Artayev before losing in the final to Korobov so if he had a complete glass jaw it likely would have surfaced before now. Think it was more the case of being blinded by the jab, not seeing the right hand coming and it being the first landed punch of the fight getting caught completely cold.
