    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev and David Haye today came face-to-face for the first time ahead of their title clash in Nuremberg on November 7. “I believe I can knock him out,” Haye told a packed press conference at the Arena Nurnberger Versicherung. “I will take the title home with me.” Haye admitted that the preparation for the biggest fight of his life will be a difficult one. “It is hard to find sparring partners that are as tall as him,” he said. “But we will find some. This will be a true David-versus-Goliath battle. I am much faster than him and I will win.”[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The Russian Giant certainly holds a different view. “Even though I have not fought for quite a while, I did not sit back and relax,” he stated. “I only had to take this long break because Ruslan Chagaev could not fight me. I have started my preparations for the fight at the end of June. In the past weeks I have been preparing specially for David Haye. He is a strong challenger but he will not beat me.”[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]And the biggest and tallest champion of all time added: “I will go back to Russia for a couple of days before returning to Berlin for sparring. Haye will try to edge me with his speed but I am prepared for that. He will not get my belt.”[/FONT]

    I thought it would be hard for Valuev to find some decent clothes because of his size, but he has surprised me - he is one trendy guy :good

    jesus...looking at those pics its hard to imagine haye beating him...he definetly wont knock him out...
    if anyone thinks haye will knock valuev out..then i'll have a wee bet with them.

    just seen them face to face on skysports news - quite amuzing, i can see a lot of casual fans being attracted to buy this fight. should be good cant wait.

    The size difference looks awesome! The actual fight could be really strange.
    I'm wondering if Haye can reach Valuev. I'm more worried about what will happen to Haye when Valuev manages to land on him. (Which he should)

    I reckon Valuev is gonna knock Haye out, unfortunately. :mad:

    this will be possibly ugliest mothe****er in the sport against one of the pretty boys of the sport.

    TKO. Yeah I'll take that. I bet a lot of people didn't think Baer would KO Carnera or that Dempsey would savage Willard.
    Haye wont be able to miss with his right hand, he will be able to throw it from over the shoulder, looping for maximum leverage and it will still be too fast for Valuev.

    that's a fair point..there could be some spectacular impacts with Haye's booming right hand on that massive 10 gallon head on Valuev.

    I still worry about Haye's jaw, Valuev is not a big puncher but probably still enough to rock Haye.
