Seems fair , Mayweather (for example) usually went straight to a title shot when moving up so the undisputed CW champ is worth at least 5th when moving to Heavy.

Actually having just read the article having him behind Ruiz and Gomez seems almost insulting !

Looking at those rankings and Haye promising a top ten heavyweight, looks like it is between Golota and Meehan as his next opponent.

I think whilst Ruiz is bloody awful to watch, it must be said that he is rather effective - so probably deserves his ranking.

I have heard rumours of Meehan. He is top 10 with all 4 belts. Meehan is huge.

Also Gomez and Virchis are having an eliminator, and Ruiz is mandatory for WBA, so he should be number 3 in no time.

This was the same Meehan who Danny Williams sparked In 32 seconds.

Haye is / was the undisputed Cruiser champ so why not? It's not as if he's just turned pro!

WBC rules state that cos he is WBC champ they could make him mandatory or fight for vacant title immediately.

However at heavy, they don't usually do this, they just give them a high ranking i.e. Holyfield, Gomez etc

In the lower weights, they often jump into title shots i.e. Floyd.

Only thing is you can bum rush Golota from the start and he loses the plot. Its only if you let him get into a rythmn that he poses any danger.
