most new boxing fans, just coming to the sport now, will not know or care about david haye, his name will occasionally reappear when speaking about wlad in the future, but his name will get shuffled into all those names of fighters you may have heard about but dont really know... except in the uk of course, he probably gets knighted.

 

Why hasn't Lennox Lewis been knighted then ?

 

This. He had the potential to be a major player in the division, but wasted the last four years of his prime not fighting.

I wouldn't describe Haye as having a 'legacy' as such, I would describe it more as a 'toeacy'.

People can spend all decade insulting him, and it's understandable. No one can deny that he's a great entertainer though.
