That Haye interview is the only thing I've seen during this circus that I didn't immediately think 'WWE'.

I think Haye might have gone off script here and took it a bit too far against Hearn. As mentioned, it might come back to bite him when he tries to blag his way into a Joshua fight. He might even have to do something crazy and legitimately earn the shot by getting into a mandatory position.

It was very generous, fair play to him and much better than the tax man having it.

10% of the ticket sales from his last 2 fights which notched up to nearly £100,000.

    Nice rant.

Perhaps my comment "even the Furys look down on him" has a hint of humour to it, premised on obvious fact that they are generally reviled (as you demonstrate).

But if there's a serious point, it is: Even the Furys aren't on the outside as much as Haye has put himself.
Even with all the drug allegations, drug bans, media image problems, stupidity, Fury's pull-outs etc. ..... they probably have a few more lives left in the actual boxing business than Haye has.

Not yet they aren't as Tyson was the number one heavyweight in the world less than a year ago. They soon will be though for the reasons you stated plus inactivity.

I really wouldn't be surprised if there occurs a split within the Fury clan.

Still the #1 HW in the world, still the man to beat.

Tyson should come back with his wife as his sole manager.

In his current state? Methinks not. And with the allegations of PED use earlier in his career he might never have been.

I would have thought this would have happened a while back but with Peter similarly acting the fool of late I'm sure they'll stumble on mouthing off here and there without actually doing anything.

I guess that's what boxers do nowadays.

Indeed. BJS, CEJ, Wilder, Stevenson... the list of reluctant fighter who don't seem to want to actually fight anyone seems endless these days.

If Haye and fans think Bellew isn't one of the best HW/CW in the world then he's in for a rude awakening.. the fight will be close enough to warrant that IMO..

If he's talking KO 1.. then he's underestimating big time.. or he's going in there with the completely wrong tactics..
