Hmmm... Jameel McCline Samuel Peter Chris Byrd Calvin Brock Ray Austin Lamon Brewster Sultan Ibragimov Tony Thompson
Why dosent Haye qualify for a title shot first by fighting another top heavyweight, and after being ko'd he might come to his senses and realize that he could NEVER take a solid shot from Klitschko. What an overhyped, loudmouthed phoney!!
Classic Haye Moment. "I'm coming to clean up That sucky division..." So... being the best in the world... doesn't qualify as being "World Class"? What amazing logic.:rofl Exactly which world are you talking about? Because he is actually the best Heavyweight boxer in the world that I live in.
Just like Thompson was going to KO Klitchko in the 5th round? Go away, we're tired of hearing you beat the same drum.
I have no doubt that Wlad may allow Haye to clean off his watch after Haye gets knocked out by a decent Heavyweight. Wlad's a nice guy, and Haye could probably use the extra money at that point.
I don't see what all the fuss is about really. Haye is being quite clever promoting himself and keeping his name in the boxing media whislt he takes about 9 months out to build his body into a heavyweight. Haye got quite alot of expossure after he beat Mormeck and Maccarinelli, not just from boxing fans but more importantly from casual fans. So for him to just go underground for the next nine months without anyone hearing from him would be stupid. The casual fan's would have forgotten about him. Its also good aswell because when he does fight more people will watch thus making him more money. He probably realises and probably doesn't care either that half of the people tuning in to see his fight's from now on will only be doing it to see him get knocked out. A lot of contraversial star's made more money because so many non fans watched just to see them get shut up. Hamed springs to mind. Also i think Haye trully believes he can beat Wlad. Now i know all bozer's usually believe they can win but i think that Haye 100% KNOWS that he can win. Haye and Adam Booth are two of the most thoroughest people in boxing. After the hick-up early in Haye's career he re-dedicated himself to boxing and he and Booth now leave no stone un-turned when it comes to preparing for a fight and analysing a future opponent and i beleive that they see something in Wlad that they can exploit.
The HW division needs someone like David Haye, a trash talker with a very good punch, good speed and skills. He's charismatic, loyal to the fans and knows what the public wants to hear. Of course there's a good chance he'll have more haters than loyal fans, but that doesn't matter as long as he creates bigger hype than a Ruslan Chagaev. There are some big fights at HW, Wlad vs. Povetkin, Valuev or Peter II, Peter vs. Vitali or Chagaev is nice, but there's only one BIG fight that could catch the public's imagination, and that's Wlad-Haye, and David is doing the right promotion. By the way he can run his mouth at least a bit, he is the reigning CW World Champion at 200 pounds, his and the opponents' fight weight is probably around 210-215, and that's the average weight of Ali's, Frazier's, Liston's fights, so fighting a guy 10-25 pounds heaviers but much slower doesn't make any difference IMO. Byrd could deal with the big guys and Haye never was a blown up middleweight.
