Still think Fury could have beaten him.

Haye was/is a talented boxer-puncher, but never proved himself as a fighter.

How does one do that? Take unnecessary punches to the face and get smashed to bits? He hasn't covered himself in glory of late, but Haye showed plenty of minerals in battles with Mormeck & Fragomeni.

Haye needs to accept that against a top fifteen opponent he isn't going to be on PPV, and that it's highly unlikely that anyone who wins the WBC strap will give him a voluntary shot.

Best case scenario for Haye is that he gets a win against a WBC ranked fighter and then somehow faces Stiverne/whoever for the title.

Worst case scenario is that we ends up with no one wanting to take a punt on him TV wise and that he effectively fights two or three meaningless opponents to close out his career.

I guess the Charr matchup is still open for him. So he should go for it, to prove himself.

Adamek is also a nice matchup that could lead to a title fight.

Haye's body is breaking down, don't be surprised to hear about new cancelations.

Adamek would be a decent fight as he's beatable and still ranked highly by the WBC.

Haye got hurt and went down in round 4 against Mormeck if I remember correctly.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good win (although perhaps a faded Mormeck by that stage) and a good entertaining fight to watch. But it wasn't even close to a battle.

Yes, it's a shame. It's obvious that he's a pretty talented boxer and probably the best other than K2 but his injuries and miraculous recoveries plus an insanely low fight frequency are off-putting. He's throwing his prime away even though there are very few boxer at HW that have a shot at beating him. In fact, I'm not sure if the Vitali from the Chisora fight would have been able to beat Haye when he announced to fight the winner of Haye vs Chisora.

He needs to take credible fights now and with a higher frequency. The Fury fight would've been a barn burner but I don't think Fury will bother with Haye anymore and you can't blame him. A Stiverne fight would be all right as a comeback but he's gotta aim higher soon. I'm talking Povetkin, Pulev, Adamek, Cunningham, Wilder, Charr and so forth. He's well capable of beating them, I just don't see why he's so scared.
