IMO, for a big start at the HW division:

    1. Rahman: perfect pick, high ranked everywhere, famous name, already down hill in his career so offers not much of a threat.

    2. Moorer: WBA #6, famous name, done as a top HW, but a win against him will repercute everywhere.

    3. Ruiz: high ranked everywhere, can make anyone look bad in the ring, not a puncher but does offer a little danger for his clinching tatics. KOing him would be a great favor to boxing fans.

Haye should stay away from Lyakovich as well he has displayed some fighting ability at times Who did he lose to at the end of the 12th round and didn't he lose to someone else. Sometimes these guys do not look prepared

Sam Peter would beat Haye. I can not see Haye's chin standing up to scrutiny against Peter's punches.

Peter is too slow, watch the Maskeav fight and see how long he takes to load up. Haye would be hitting him with the uppercut and moving out of danger before fatso had a chance to land. You have to ctach a man to test his chin and a non weight drained Haye would have the stamina to move all night.

The only danger punches he has are illegal ones to the back of the head. It is only a matter of time before he is disqualified for his dirty tactics.

golota and rahman are the best out there if haye wants to fast-track to a world title fight. i don't think either briggs or botha are ranked top 15.

i haven't seen rahman recently, but from watching recent golota fights he seems well beatable and a good introductionary fight at HW. beating rahman would make a bigger impact in the rankings though (top 5 in both IBF and WBC).

I would like to see Haye in with Rahman. Beatable opponent with a decent name.

I wouldnt like to see Haye in with Golota, at this stage in his career Golota struggled with Mollo and Hayes power would prove the difference, and quickly. The fight wouldnt prove anything imo.

Personally i think Haye should stay away from Ruiz. Ruiz is very underated, granted he is awful to watch but i could see him dragging Haye into a mauling type fight and winning, via late rounds stoppage or points.

True, but im just thinking of Hayes stamina. I know it should be better up at heavy, but will it?

I think Ruiz could be a banana skin for Haye as a first fight, the physical style he brings to the ring plus he has power as well.

Yes the stamina will go up, the guy has been badly weight drained at cruiser. Totally buggers up your stamina if you have to shift so much weight.

I think he will do ok at HW. There is no big dog at HW and he has the balls to take on anyone.

The current crop of eastern block fighters like Chageav are nothing wow.

The Wlad fight is going to happen the recent meeting was a PR stunt to get things rolling.

I see where you are coming from. I hope Wlad and Haye get to fight, im not really a Haye fan, for some reason i cant warm to the guy.

Got to give him credit though he hasnt dodged any big fights, and he is a good example on how fighters should seek out to fight the best.

Yes he did look a bit cocky in the Enzo fight with his ring entrance but the post fight cam recording showed the guy is just a smooth operator who is far from arrogant/cocky.

A friend of mine does security at fights and he was on Enzo's door for the fight. After it he went to Hayes dressing room and asked him for his wraps.

He said Haye was quality and called him a cheeky get, my friend responded with you dont get if you dont ask, and Haye just said to right lad.

Now instances like that make me like him, but maybe i will come round in the end:think
