Oh, grow up, Rob. £200,000 is a lot of money. If it’s “only” £200,000 why won’t the brothers agree to it in reverse – or the utterly reasonable 50-50 excepting domestic TV rights.

There’s no frauds here – just people looking out for their own best interests.

What boxers ever retire at the age they say they are going to?

My problem with Haye is - he is not THE MAN - he claims to be.

    This is not my opinon.

    But the World Boxing Rankings.

Everyone knows the 2 Klitschko brothers have dominated the heavyweight division since the retirement of Lennox Lewis in 2003.

The Klitschko brothers have every major belt passed between them - including the RING and the status of being the NO 1 and NO 2.

Haye has won the WBA title and defended it once. He brings something to the bargaining table - but he is not the man.

His sense of entitlement is misguided. If he beats the Klitschkos then he might be entitled to 50/50.

Right now if I was Hayes manager - I would be trying to get a 40/60 split for his man at best.

It's bound to happen when Haye has padded his bank account a little. Keep your panties on ladies.

Haye brings UK and American money Wlad just brings German money ppvs will be massive in the UK and the money from America is only there if HAye is involved thus in a 50-50 situation where Haye keeps the UK money he will make more than the Klits which they cant handle.

The fact is that Haye brings the most money to the table him keeping all the uk rights will earn him more than Wlad keeping all the german thats why Wlad wants some of the UK money.

He would give up nominal sums maybe - but its not like he was not getting paid a bloody fortune.

I think that post there shows - that Haye is acutally turning out to be worse than Hatton in the money grabbing spin.

Which is shocking - when Haye was supposed to be the guy who was nothing like that.

Haye in that Youtube video - quit the act now anyway - he was talking money and percentages - so thats what its all about to him - it now suits him to talk like that.

All true from a boxing perspective Flint but, and I'm no financial expert, I'd guess at least some of the problem may that 40% of a very tricky Wlad fight isn't much more than 70% (or whatever) of a routine defence.

Not exactly "Way of the Dragon" stuff from Haye but maybe thats the calculation they are making?

Whatever, nothing we didn't know already. I can understand those reasons (assuming that's the real reason the fight didn't get made) but I don't agree with them so I'm not about to defend him. Haye is just a beltholder and to be fair the offer was very generous. Haye just wants to make some easy paydays before cashing in (an even older Vitali would be his preferance IMO). Not what the fans want, and it'll hurt his legacy and popularity, and he'll continue to take a lot of flak for it but there you go. My opinion on him is just like "meh". I don't consider him a ***** but he's obviously not the easiest fighter to be a fan of either. I can imagine the loyal fans being devestated at this crappy update. This was the big announcement? Jeez:lol:

I think to Wlad - it is just another defence - another challenge to face.

Its David Haye acting like this is his final pension plan fight.

Whos they? It will happen. It's pretty obvious whats going on here, Haye is scared of jeopradizing his cash cow, which for now is the WBA title. He'll probably wait until his last fight to take on a Klitschko so he's ready to retire if he loses.

If Vitali retires in the next year - than dont blame him for not fighting Haye.

Wlad should be about for at least another couple of years though.
