Haye still injured?

His foot will never be the same.
But it's not just the foot, is it ?
He's got bad shoulders, bad back. He's messed up. Still, I won't write him off for his next fight, it's only Bellew. There's no guarantee Bellew won't get injured either.

Best possible scenario, they both get fit as possible, and fight without serious handicap. They both make money, invest it wisely. And they both retire after this fight. That's the best for both of them. Otherwise they're just setting themselves up for a proper beating down the road.

 

I believe, like many others that Haye's body is finished, it simply can't cope with a training camp, so forget fighting.

I believe that's why he retired before, his body was breaking down and he just came back for a few quid.

I personally wouldn't bet a penny on Haye regardless of the odds simply because you can't trust he won't break down again.

And call me cynical but this rematch was being talked about right after the first fight, in my opinion they don't care what condition Haye is in so long as he turns up and people buy the PPV.

If Haye is injured, unfit or shot they don't give a toss so long as it sells.

 

Bellew is still terribly underrated on here. Some even think he’s domestic level-wow.

He’s a scouser, very opinionated, talks a lot of sh**e, aesthetically he’s bit podgy...I think these effect people’s judgement of his actual skills and ring IQ which imo are absolute quality. He constantly proves people wrong and he’s learnt massively from his defeats. He follows Coldwell’s instructions to the letter. He’s a cruiserweight world champion and it really wouldn’t surprise me if he wins a world heavyweight title too in his final fight.

 

If Haye can come in anywhere below 15.5 stone i think he will iron him out.

He isn't he fighter he was and he will never be 100% fit but if he is healthy enough and is mentally dialled in more so than the first 1st fight he gets the mid rounds KO.

As others have said, wouldn't put a penny on him

 

Haye is the one fighter in Britain you take what he says with a pinch of salt. I still believe he is a con artist. Without doubt though back in his prime he would have smashed Bellew, this contest was unthinkable.

I think this rematch is interesting to an extent....will be entertaining and dramatic again, whether it is genuine quality or not.

What did Haye earn last time for Bellew ?

 

Close to 4.2 million,heavily helped by his Press conference antics which managed to fool 900 thousand people into buying it on Sky Box Office.

 

Quite good but I guess the real prize in money would be a huge show down with Joshua if he can get threw Bellew

 

Their money at stake against Joshua is probably just as much or if more than Fury.Joshua Haye i'm telling you is the most lucrative not Biggest or Best fight that can be made.If Haye can get close to a 1million against Bellew,imagine what he can do with Joshua.Sky have always been huge backers with Haye,so seeing their two golden boys go head to head,They will be happy.Hearn will not give a **** if Haye even Kills Bellew,if it allows him to make AJ Haye.It would be good entertainment.But not competitive as Haye is too old and fragile.Prime Haye probably wins by K/O,but obviously that Haye is gone,so it's a comfortable AJ win,i think Haye will literally **** himself,and look to survive by any means,as his ego will not be able to take a K/O.He will probably throw in the towel after he gets gassed out,as he cannot survive as he did against Bellew,With Joshua.It's like a Rat and a Lion.

 

Haye has been carrying an injury since the last fight. A bruise on his massive ego.

 

Wouldn't say he is underated mate haye is has been finished years fighting bums. Bellew has improved over last few years but lost badly to Stevenson could say weight but even a division up same outcome and no shame in that , he has lost clev And has fooled public like haye. If he is good as he like to think why not fight 1 of even top 5 in his own division he won't as he thinks he ppv and he would lose and lose badly to any of them so he chases a old shot to bits haye twice. And fools will pay watch them hype it up.

 

Yes as called by me and a few others. Haye's primary need for the comeback fight was him being broke as a result of being taken to the cleaners in a divorce and being conned in some "business deals".

His body is clearly fragile. In the Bellew fight, he was not injured before hand as shown by the fact, he wore no strapping and was bouncing into his shots to try to get the KO. The injury to his ankle came as a result of him fighting in his usual explosive way. We will see the shell of Haye in a rematch, but he should still be good enough to win if he fights on the back foot with a jab and only using the power punches as Bellew is walking in.
