Maybe something to do with Haye being unable to spar in training? So does this show that Haye demonstrated a good chin after taking all those shots?

He's also one of only 2 fighters to stop Audley Harrison.

His power is good, overrated by his fan boys, underrated by Klit fans.

Agreed, but if Haye had not stopped Ruiz, now that would have been surprising.

A light heavweight could have KO'd Ruiz with the punches Ruiz was allowing to land in that fight. Ruiz's balance is, and always has been, ****. His weight is always unevenly displaced heavily onto his left foot, leaving him totally vulnerable to jabs. A guy with a good jab will only further confound his balance, making even more openings. That is why Ruiz always had to resort to clinching as his defense. Combine this with with advanced age and he was bound to get KO'd by a good technican with power. KOing a faded fighter that wasn't very good to start with doesn't make David Haye an exceptional fighter by any means.

ruiz might have been older, but he was still a tough s o b.

and this was his last chance,so he brung it harder than normal.

he got a different trainer, looked to try get back to his basics and trained hard.

but got floored and beat up and stopped from clinching.

Haye had 4 weeks beforehand without sparring and still ruined Ruiz.

although it showed in hayes defense and wildness/ inaccuracy early on.

Haye has good power, but I don't see where him stopping Ruiz justifies that his power has been underrated. But Haye definitely gots heat.

    Did you buy that crap?
Like he hurt his back before the Wlad fight or like he broke his hand in the Valuev fight or that only carried Harrison to the third because he told everyone to bet on that round or that he lost to Thompson because he had sex some weeks before? Remember hes Davoid the excusemaker, he always got one. before, after and during every fight

Haye is making a career of beating old faded opponents.
