Ruiz was 38, so what?. Then you go on to mention Lewis. Are you underage or ******ed?, not all people are created the same. Your face could resemble a chimpanzee others shouldn't, get the idea?

The fight was in England, Haye got a knockdown nailing Ruiz to the back of the head. I wouldn't brag much about fights that take place in England. You most likely don't know what I am talking about, go to google and search for a list of fights there then go to youtube.

John Ruiz gets a lot of stick on here but he was still Americas number 1 heavyweight the day he retired. I know that isnt saying much but at 38 he still turned up in good shape and did well to last into the latter rounds after being blown away in the first.

What the **** is the difference between 2005 Ruiz and 2010 Ruiz... absolute **** all, hes never been fast or a big puncher, so how the **** can you imply that he was complete garbage by the time Haye fought him. He just went about his business as he usually does, which is to clinch and wear the opponent down. Ruiz has been on the wrong end of some debatable decisions in his time but has always stepped up and tried his hardest to win. Haye was carrying an injury for the bout which slowly became obvious as the fight progressed, its a decent victory over an opponent who was past prime but still useful and determined.

I still dont see how you can say Ruiz was shot, past prime... yes, shot no... He was always going to struggle against a fast, mobile, boxer and find it easier against guys he can hold onto and catch. Unfortunately for him Haye does not fall into the latter catagory.

Don't make me laugh.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Punching while going backwards, an old Golota put Ruiz on his ass 8 years before Haye fought him.

Wow, what an accomplishment.....Maybe Haye can do other neat tricks like be the first to stop a 60 year old Geoge Foreman or be the first to KO Tyson Fury...if you're looking for a sideshow circus, look no further than Haye and his weak belt defenses against **** competition.

Yep, by the time he retires this year, Haye will be known as one of only two men to stop Ruiz. A fitting legacy indeed.

Comparing what Haye did to Ruiz and what Tua did to him is ridiculous. Tua put him on his back in the first round in a daze, while Haye just wore him down because Ruiz was overmatched (inferior speed, inferior power, older, etc.) and it still took several rounds before his corner threw in the towel. It's not like Haye came out and knocked him out cold - it was a TKO stoppage from the corner, not the brutal KO that Tua delivered.

I give John Ruiz credit and admire him a lot for being able to compete with Haye at that age. It was a good victory for Haye, but nothing spectacular and NOTHING like the victory Tua had over Ruiz.

Granted Haye did what only Tua could do to John Ruiz albeit less emphatically, but we won't be impressed until he lasts a 12-round slugfest with Ike Ibeabuchi.

I dont know about, that Haye will always have the Mormeck fight where he knocked out the champ in his back yard.

Has Wlad had a defining fight or Vitali for that matter?

Of course its not a big win, but i think its a solid win over a solid competitor, its not as if Ruiz would have done any better if he was any younger, he would always come in with the same gameplan and would have had the same success.

No matter how unspectacular, Haye's win over Ruiz is by far his best achievement @ HW. Let's see how he handles Chagaev since that fight seems to be beginning to materialise now.
