Chagaev had the WBA title which Vlad took from him. Valouev was not the real WBA champion. Haye ran around the ring and in some threw no punches. Jim Watt had Valouev winning the fight on British TV.

I don't mind tactical fights, or fighting off the back foot. Au contraire, I like that a lot. But what Haye did is not fighting off the back foot, it's just being on the back foot. He fought in round 12, the eleven rounds before it were the most boring thing I've ever seen in boxing.

God there are some haters on this forum.

Well down Haye you made the giant wobble. Not many people have achieved that.

    Haye has heavyweight power. FACT.

People who complain he ran for 12 rounds would have ****ing done the same thing if they put a 7ft giant in front of you.

Bazooka would have **** his pants.

He had to do a certain amount of running of course. But he also had to actually throw afew punches .Which he didnt do apart from the last round.
Im not excited about the fight like some people seem to be.

Haye stunned Valuev because Valuev didn´t see the punch coming. If Haye would have done more a TKO for Valuev would have been more of a chance than a KO for Haye. Have you seen how gassed Haye was befre the 12th? And he didn´t throw that much punches. He fought the right gameplan and executed it nicely.

Julius Long is even taller but his opponents do not run for 12 rounds.

Haye can bang but Valuev is a lumbering oaf who should have lost many times before this. Big surprise why Haye took this instead of a Klit.

alright thats great but, what BIG punchers has valuev faced at heavyweight?

Haye is probably the biggest hitter hes faced....

nobody knows that peter, tua, wlad, vitali, solis, ect couldnt all do that as well.

that being said its still impressive

On his way up, Valuev faced Paolo Vidoz, a decent Italian fighter who once beat Timo Hoffmann on one week's notice. Vidoz clearly stunned Valuev, the young version that was still hungry.

Haye broke his hand? Proof please? The hand he showed in the TV interview wasn't even swollen, it certainly didn't look broken and he had tapes on two fingers, so what? Why should I believe a fighter who faked an injury to get out of a fight because Sentana went bankrupt? Why didn't he throw more punches in the first two rounds when his hand was fine?

    Man you are a hater..

Haye, who was unable to wear his belt because it was being resized to fit him, sported a badly disfigured hand after injuring it in the victory over Valuev.
"It was like hitting bricks, but it was a small price for being heavyweight champion of the world," revealed Haye, who is set to have an X-ray on the injury on Monday afternoon.

    bbc news article.

Haye didnt even hit valuev on the chin it was a left hook to his cheek.

I don't "hate" anyone unless they are a murderer or child ******. I dislike Haye for his arrogance and complete failure to bring any of that excitement he so boldly predicted 18 months ago. The really exciting HW fights since then did not involve Haye. I have no reason to believe Haye's clima that his hand was broken and his performance against Valuev was not as good as that of an geriatric Holyfield.
