I see the self defence debate is rumbling on. Some are even now saying Chirosa punched first. It's all a bit pathetic really.

This debate has just come down to whether you are a Haye fan or you dislike him.

I'll say the obvious here and that is Haye picked up a tripod and swung it as someone in anger. That was not self defence. That was assault with a weapon.

At the end of the day this is just a news story that the journalist can feed on but realistically it's pretty unlikely that either boxer will be jailed.

Once everything is taken into context anybody can see that this isn't the same as a Saturday night bar brawl.

It was a machismo sparring contest taking place in the press conference of a sport built on machismo.

German police probably only got involved because they felt they needed to be seen to be in charge of things.
The chances of either boxer landing in jail are about the same chances of Chisora beating a Klitschko........remote!;)

    It's criminal damage at least.
Those cameras and tripods are bloody expensive.
But I'm sure Haye can afford to replace it.

Neither will go to prison but Haye definitely has a better defence than Chis. Threatening to shoot someone and before the brawl say he'll slap him and then confront him. Haye has a case he can get out of.

No one will be charged with anything

    Haye will claim self defense
Chisora will claim he approached Haye with no intention of violence and then he got punched and after that he made some empty threats in the heat of the moment
No one got seriously hurt and no one will press charges and the videos are not that clear.

Both will be banned for a while though - anyone care to guess how long?

Bollocks. Haye defended himself. Simple as. If the BBBofC ban him, he'll fight in other countries. If Germany want to prosecute him then he'll avoid Germany. Not like he unleashed on a helpless civilian. It was a world class heavyweight.

    This.

As Chisora marched towards Haye a thick Zimbabwean accent behind Chisora can be heard shouting "run David! run!" The guy was full of intent. Any newly qualified lawyer would ensure reasonable doubt if the case came to court.
