    Oh come on Chef.
It's no coincedence that Haye has had contract issues with a certain V Klitschko and his bro W Klitschko is it?
What's wrong with a fighter knowing his worth and realizing that his stock has gone up since he appeared on the scene only to be offered far below what he's now generating through interest alone.

I wonder what worth a fighter with 23 fights, 2 of them at Heavyweight could possibly have?

At this time, Haye unfortunately ONLY has the value he thinks he commands only in Germany (and nowhere else) fighting either of the Klitschkos, and noone else. His beheading picture was a huge scandal in the German mainstream press. Nobody cares about Haye himself, it is all about him together with a Klit. This hardly speaks of Haye's value all alone by hiself. He all just by himself is worth as much as any other half dozen credible HW contenders. Against a Klit? Sells well in Germany. Or should I say "sold" well, because there are serious doubts another bout will ever be scheduled again.

Valuev kind of lost his luster in Germany, as he's now finally exposed as the boring plodding clown he always was. That's why recent bouts were staged/scheduled to take place in Switzerland and Finland (which is close to St. Petersburg, Valuev's residence). We'll see how well Valuev vs. Haye will sell in Germany (allegedly, this is where the fight will happen). I doubt it will be ANYWHERE even close to the attention the Wlad - Haye matchup got, selling out an outdoors area with 60,000. At best, I see them filling a 12-14,000 indoor arena in Germany which would be a huge huge success. Anything below 8,000 would probably be a disappointment.

What stock? The guy has not fought in almost a year. He beat a faded Barrett that got KOed by Cliff Couser. The guy has done nothing but talk and talk talk and talk.

So therefore Haye should be given a bigger slice of the pie for his part in the promotion. Not the same as any other opponent.

Like i said earlier, i don't know the details of the contracts and why they weren't signed but might Haye have took the Valuev fight because if he wins he will have more bargaining power when it comes to fighting the Klits in the future?

IMO he used Vitali to get a deal with Valuev. I dont see a fight with a Klitschko happening anyways. Ruiz next, Chagaev is #1, rematch with Valuev... good luck he sees a klitschko any time soon

    exactly.

haye has his own promotional firm he wants to build up.

but instead of that he's tied to the klitschko's win or lose. :verysad

    poor form from the klitschko's.

do you guys remember Haye saying this? This was said when he was getting the deal to fight Wlad. Haye and Booth wanted this then Haye used it as an excuse to back out

"British heavyweight boxer David Haye could fight both Klitschko brothers as part of a sensational two-for-one contract being thrashed out by lawyers. Speaking to Setanta Sports News Haye admitted that the two-for-one contract was “being talked about”. He said:

“To be number one in the world, to be the undisputed champion, I feel I’ve got to beat both of them anyway. That’s not a problem. I want to fight both of them. It’s down to the lawyers now.”

    when? the Wlad fight?

I was there. Haye said in need 2-3 weeks. Wlad said "I think I will wait" then later that day the time needed turned into 8-10 weeks leaving Wlad no option but to go in a different direction. Then funny how Haye was working out 4 weeks later.

    HMMMMMMM:think
