Well Haye wasn't worth the contract at the time, he may be now. The other reason is because they were going head-to-head with bigger networks for things like the Premiership.

 

So not having a huge number of subscribers would tend to impact the audience figures for a subscription channel, no?

What makes you think he doesn't want to fight them? If you've followed his career in any way at all you would know that he wants to fight the best.
