    Agreed.

If he had never said anything regarding Wlad or Vitali, and just simply stated he wanted to work his way up, etc... he would be okay. But he has trash talked so much, signing then not fighting Wlad, agreeing to fight Vitali, then going for Valuev, etc... that it might even be better for him overall to fight a Klitschko and lose, than to never even fight.

Wlad, and Vitali don't even get credit for dominating the current HW division. So my question is...
How the hell is Haye going to get credit for dominating leftovers?! There's no other superstars right now. They've all been beaten (mainly by a K brother), there washed up, or like 98% of the HW division...Lazy and fat!
Haye will get no credit in the division if he doesn't beat Wlad, or Vitali.
Legacy wise he shouldn't even be there unless he's going to fight Wlad, or Vitali. Perhaps he can earn some paydays, but not cement his legacy!

Vitali pulled out of a proposed fight in order to take on Gomez, Wlad pulled out by refusing Haye's offer of a delay when he picked up his injury. These are pull outs just as much as Haye's are pull outs, but it doesn't suit people's agendas to acknowledge that.

Haye would have to stay around well after 31 and actually beat some live young contenders to establish a legacy. The other problem with this is that it is illogical. The Klitschkos are regarded as the top two heavies, you'd need to fight and beat at least one of them to establish yourself in the division. If Wladimir taking on relatively proven and proven top contenders and Haye is taking on guys who are well past it then only an army of deluded Brits will take Haye seriously. Thompson, Chagaev and Chambers are better than Barret, Valuev and Ruiz. If Haye's next fight is a Valuev rematch, and Klitschko takes on Povetkin then the gulf in their level of opposition will be that much wider.

When you consider the fact that Haye has fought... 4 (?) fights at HW, then yes, he does need the Klitschkos because there is no other real top class fighter out there AND because he doesn't intend to fight for much longer.

You either need longevity or a solid list of opponents. As of yet, Haye has neither. 2 years won't change much unless he fights the Klitschkos.

Haye is established at cruiser. At HW, he's only a good fighter at this moment.

Uh, no they didn't. Haye balked and decided to fight Valuev and Vitali fought his mandatory. Haye claimed injury, a claim he never substantiated, and Wlad took on Chagaev, who was higher ranked, better known, and beat Valuev more convincingly than Haye did.

So you admit that both Wlad and Vitali took fights other than Haye when a Haye fight was on the table, and that Haye took on a fight other than the Klits, and yet only Haye pulled out? What utter shite. Both sides are responsible for the fights not happening. Wlad could have accepted the delay but didn't (Haye did provide proof of the injury, by the way), and Vitali could have dropped the belt and fought Haye. They both chose not to. That is them avoiding Haye just as much as Haye asking for a delay in the Wlad fight and then signing to fight Valuev is Haye avoiding the Klits.

    Yes. Yes he would.

...as for the rest about the gulf in the level of opposition. I don't think it's that wide. Well, its wide if you take into account Wlad had way more fights and time at heavyweight; but, of just the names you listed, to me they are about even. Perhaps a slight edge to Wlad's victims.

    you dont know ****.

Wlad didnt pull out. he kept the date once Haye said he needed 2 weeks, then he changed from needing 2 week delay to 10 WEEK DELAY! 2 1/2 months? Name ANY fighter that would wait that long when tickets were already sold, TV contracts done and money already spent.

WRONG about Vitali. Haye had a signed contract in front of him. Didnt answer for 5 days then Vitali found out Haye signed to fight Valuev.

    Get you facts straight:deal

Even most of the BIGGEST Haye nuthuggers wouldn't even try and say the "Brothers pulled out":-(

No contract with Vitali was ever signed, get YOUR facts straight. The fight was agreed in principle, but contracts weren't signed. Just as Vitali had agreed in principle to fight Haye, but then shat his pants and fought Gomez instead.

PS I don't believe Vitali genuinely did **** his pants, but if that is going to be used as the reason for Haye backing out of the fight then it's just as reasonable to use it for Vitali.

CHEF already answered this, but I will say this much. The Klitschkos offered Haye a fight, not once but twice. Both times Haye came up with a reason for the fight not taking place, not the Klitschkos. And now your boy Haye is talking about not needing the Klitschkos to establish his legacy, so excuse me if I do not take him seriously at heavyweight.

Did you not see Chagaev comprehensively outbox Valuev? Did you not see the same Valuev look like crap against Bergeron, Holyfield and Larry Donald? You are aware Ruiz is 3-4 in his last seven? And don't even get me started on Barrett. Meanwhile who has Wlad been fighting? Chambers, Chagaev and Thompson and he is currently in talks with Povetkin. Who is Haye in talks with?
