Haye is probably hyping the fight, although if he loses then he will be disgraced. He will have a hard time beating such a big guy in Vlad.
Haye's i guess feel's calling the brothers wussies, is his way of getting back at them for bending him over in negotiations, an not even bothering to use a lubricant,,,,,deep down i sure hayes really enjoyed it, an the beating that coming is just that much more exciting for hayes, they say his mom is english an his dad is jamacian, well after those negotiations, hayes new daddy is urkanine,,,,,
Is this the new standard now that ridiculous lowballing in negotiations is seen as a sign of machissmo?
Haye's going to eat those words in the form of jabs & then he'll swallow a huge right hand & take a nap.
I generally like the Klitschkos, but I don't like this move at all. Allegedly, they tried to make Haye enter a 4 fight deal. It looks like they settled on a 3 fight deal. I can't stand rematch clauses, but to outline a contract where Haye now has to fight both brothers and rematch one of them is ridiculous.
"British heavyweight boxer David Haye could fight both Klitschko brothers as part of a sensational two-for-one contract being thrashed out by lawyers. Speaking to Setanta Sports News Haye admitted that the two-for-one contract was being talked about. He said: To be number one in the world, to be the undisputed champion, I feel Ive got to beat both of them anyway. Thats not a problem. I want to fight both of them. Its down to the lawyers now. Seems he was fine with the idea in February, now hes not?. The problem is he has talked so much, he cant remember his own words:deal
Any idiot can see the Klitchskos did all they could to make the terms so punitive and awkward that almost noone would want to fight. My feeling is that the Klits make life very unpleasant for their opponents to break them mentally. If Wlad's so sure of beating Haye, why not do it as a one off with a rematch clause, why throw in Vitali? Sounds like they're shitting themselves.
Well done CHEF. Haye says he will beat both brothers hes got those robots figured out and those are the two biggest money fights (by far) out there, so what's the problem? Maybe he'd rather fight Kingpin? Haye said he was ready, now he's got what he wanted. He should be ecstatic.
yeah he states, he has to beat both to be recognised as the best, but where does he state, that he has to do it twice.? to me it seems like the klits are making those rematch clauses as an insurance policy. Perhaps they do feel, that the obstacle ahead of them, is tougher then most expect. i have no problem with a rematch clause, but it seems rather desperate to try and force haye to fight the klits for the rest of his career.
Wlad is in the postiion of power. But he is fair. Name one other fighter who complained about Klitschko's negotiation tactics.
The contract he has now calls for a 3 fight deal, not a two fight deal. Regardless, it's a ridiculous stipulation. If Haye truly wanted it to be that way, the Klits wouldn't have forced it into the contract.
I said it yesterday in a different thread, just differently: If Haye didn't complain about the deal he got he wouldn't be David Haye. He's not Haye unless he's mouthing off. We'd think he'd gone soft if he said he liked the contract. Either way it's not that bad for him: If he beats all Klitschko's he'll be the Ring Magazine champ and we'll pretty much all call him undisputed champ. If he loses he'll cry all the way to the bank. I haven't heard anyone say just how much his purse is going to be, but I'm pretty sure he'll be a millionaire either way.
Are you serious? Name another time where the Klits stipulated that their opponent had to agree to a 3 fight deal which would pit them against both brothers? Originally, the Klits allegedly wanted to make it a 4 fight deal. I don't how anyone could be ok with this.
If he didn't have these bogus stipulations, he would be able to name his price against Vitali if were able to beat Wlad. As it stands now, he's forced to fight Vitali and has no negotiating power. He would owned by the Klits untill 2010 or 2011 if he's somehow succesful in winning 3 fights against the two brothers. And even if he does that, you can rest assured that at least two of his belts will have been stripped and the division will be even more fractured than it is now.
