Some promoters offer large amounts to fighters and then go bankrupt and don't have to pay them a penny. This happend to a Mexican legend who took a British fighters undefeated record when when he was fighter a former Olympian. I guess Haye is lucky the promoter of the fight does not have a history of doing this kind of thing.

There are multiple revenue streams for this.

You have the live gate, PPV buys on Boxnation plus additional subscribers, overseas TV rights and sponsorship.

I'll believe it when i see it. 3.5mill? For a domestic non-title fight?

There must be some sort of structured deal in place. I have no doubt that he will want a substantial payment prior to the fight but I doubt it's of this magnitude - I would think that he is on some sort of profit share on top of that.

No doubt about that and not questioning his credibility. Just sharing my thoughts as I've been quite close to this promotion. :good

If it was on Sky Box office then I can't see what which fights not involving Floyd, Manny or The Bros would touch this for PPV sales or money generated. I think being on boxnation will have an impact on its size.

What fights not involving those three fighters do you think would be bigger?

EDIT: Ward vs Bute has a chance, but Haye - Chisora would still outsell it on PPV on a much smaller market.

Cotto Vs Alveraz, Dawson Vs Ward, Donaire Vs Gamboa, Gamboa Vs Rios.

just a few of top of my head, if these were to happen i think there would be more World interest in these fights rather than Haye Vs Chisora. Lou Di Bella has already their ain't much interest in this fight stateside

EDIT: Yep Bute Vs Ward, specially if he does a number on Froch

Ok, in terms of pure 'Global Interest' then See where you're coming from. But I mean in terms of PPV sales and the money it can generate I think this would be the biggest on PPV.

We know Brits will buy anything on Box Office its it's packaged right, and this more or less sells itself.
