Yep - I would have loved to have seen this on SBO if only to see the numbers it does. As long as the momentum stays I could see it breaking all records. Unfortunately its on boxnation and you need to complete the Krypton Factor just to watch a fight, so I think that will chop into the numbers. Still, I'll be watching!

Those fights together would sell 40,000 tickets.
More newspaper articles, web articles and and reports
The brawl at the press confrence will has been viewed by millions worldwide.
This fight will be broadcast in more countries than those fights.

    This is a MEGA fight!

I think this fight will gross in excess of 10 million so there will be plenty of profit for everyone.

I agree, this is one of the biggest fights in boxing.
I don't know how boxnation are going to sell it though - are they just expecting punters to subscribe to the channel ? Or do they have a one-night PPV platform ?

I won't pay a penny to see this fight on TV, mostly because I think both fighters are a bit crap.
But I might catch it in a pub or somewhere.

Cotto/Canelo aside, the rest of those guys have hardly got any fans between them. They would do shite on PPV and there wont be a lot of interest in them IMO.

60 countries have bought the rights to this fight. It wont be big in America though.

ok ill test this, how many countries will be televising this in one way or another?

How many online casinos are lining up to sponser it ?

How many terrestrial tv channels have had Haye or Chisora on there sofa? apart from the sports section of the news section ...

these to me are all indicators nowadays of an event being huge .... now i dont think it is a mega fight ... its a fight between two heavyweights but its not a mega fight like hatton/mayweather and Haye/wlad etc those were mega fights tbf

They'll probably get 400,000 - 500,000 extra subscribers (number pulled out of my arse) at £10 each (if they only buy for a month). Added to ticket sales.

There's enough money in this fight to go round.

To be fair were 2 months away from the fight. The fights you mentioned only went into overdrive 2-3 weeks out. There was no major press coverage at this stge apart from the press confrence and i would say this got more hype. Its bad publicity but in boxing no publicity is bad.

If this was in Sky Sports or BBC i woild imagine record figures.

Gamboa, Donaire are not on anybodys sofars.

There is a strong rumour doing the rounds that Haye is on £2.5M plus profit share from BoxNation PPV. Chisora is supposed to be on £1.15M.

I don't think the fight merits PPV based on the quality of the fighters and the fact it is not for a World Title. I predict a boring fight with Haye only engaging sporadically. I won't be paying for it.

Still the old time honoured saying proves itself to be true again: "A fool and his money are soon parted"

    In this instance yes.

I watched Haye v Wlad in the pub and I felt cheated. To think some people travelled to Germany to watch that.............must have been extremely disappointing.

Yeah, I bet they were gutted about going on Holiday and having a great time with their mates in Hamburg. That €40 for the ticket and 2 hours spent watchin the fight must have ruined the holiday.
