"Reportedly a number of 700,000 Euros ($935,000) has been mentioned as the step-aside fee Haye would have to pay IBF mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin to make the fight with Wlad happen next."

From what's been reported, Povetkin's team knows that he isn't ready to face Wlad yet and will fight someone else next, so why talk about a payoff?

Because someone talks to much and never knows when he should shut up. Sooner or later Povetkin would find a way to delay the fight against Wlad for another year.

bull****. No need for step aside cash. Unification trumps any other fight so Haye could fight Wlad if he wants to. The organizations will fight it, but it can happen

Im wondering if it thrown out there so povetkin can say "NO" and Haye can save face by saying "I tried":hey:yep:yep

This has to be the best deal ever, Povetkin's team doesn't want to go anywhere near Klitschko and will get $1M for doing that!

Can I get a $300 step aside money or something like that?

This has been discussed already. Povetkin would pay Haye to take his place. Seriously. Chef, can you talk about who either brother might be in discussions with? Damned list has to be getting pretty short.

Povetkin and Atlas don't want to fight Wlad yet. But if they at least look as though they are interested then they will recieve a nice fee from Haye to "step aside". Hopefully Haye will pay Valuev as well.

There should be an expiration date on being a mandatory. If Povetkin hasn't manned up by now, he never will. It's fine for him to think he's not ready; he's not. But, the abc orgs should not let him sit on a mandatory shot like that.

Wlad is in talkes with Povetkin. he has no choice at this point. If povetkin bows out, there was talk from the IBF about Peter in his place. Wlads hands are tied right now as he has to fight the IBF Mand

well I do Know Wlad would take it now. Dont know about Haye or what Valuevs rematch contract says. Haye and Wlad could pull it off if the organization dont try and fight it
