He said over and over and over again he will retire at 30. He backtracked slightly by saying before is 31st B.Day.

This guy clearly wants to make money and get out. There is not going to be any Klitschko trilogy and 10 defences or any crap like that. He may not even fight Klit.

He knows that the longer you go on the more irreversible damage is done to the brain.

    This is not a "savoir".

love him or hate him, can't blame the guy

he seems like he has a good get on his shoulders, and he is enough of a personality to make some money with his fame, post boxing

no reason to get punched in the face by 250 pound guys if you don't need to

i would like to see him fight a klit though

I did not at first. I do now judging on his behaviour.

Not to say he will retire before 31, but I am sure he is not in this for the long haul.

Got to love these ****ers that couldnt even climb over the top rope having a pop at profesional fighters.
At the end of the day good luck to the guy.
Make some money, get out as a millionar and enjoy the rest of your life.
He like any other fighter owes **** all to "fans"

heres an idea...dont call out the real heavyweight champ, boast how you are gonna knock him out, chase him for a year...then back out of fights left and right...say youre gonna fight the best, then fight a 38 year old john ruiz....say youre gonna fight thebest and fight a 38 year old audley harrison....(who incidently lost to 10-0 martin rogan) and hasnt ever beaten a top 10 guy....
gotta love ****s like you who defend a bigger **** who mouths off how great he is, how hes gonna clean out the heavyweight division, bring excitement and what do have to show for 2 years after he said all this? NOTHING but inactivity and **** opponents....so go suck his dick some more you big homo fan boy :hi:

    I can blame him.

Talking **** about people and then not fighting them makes you a coward.

If he wants to retire early, he has every right- but he should not have been dishonest about his intentions. If the real champ were a less gentlemanly type, his mouth might have gotten him a public beating ala Tyson-Green. If he were alive in another era, his mouth might have even gotten him killed.

Of course that I can blame him and I will

If you want to get respect, you have to give respect too. I respect him as a boxer (entertaining style) and as a businessman (he sells his fights). I disrespect him as a man.

And at your job if you make promises you do not keep or even try to keep you get called on it and possibly fired :deal Could you imagine someone i an actual real working eviroment saying for 2+ years they were going to do something and that it would be your easiest work ever... only to back out repeatedly when the opportunity comes up.

have you ever been to an interview?

where do you see yourself in 5 years? same place as now hoss

    see where that gets you

point is, now many people are in the position to escape a brutal sport with all their senses and enough to retire on

sure, i would like to see him fight more...but i don't hate the guy for not wanting to turn into james toney
