That is how I feel mate. We have been fed lie after lie this year and the **** has no credibility left. Will be remembered as the **** who stunk out the heavyweight division David 'Cancelled Toe' Haye
No, Fury wasted this year - and has been damaging his career - by waiting for a non-fight with Haye. It's probably hurt him worse than a loss. Financially and even physically.
For me this is really what its all about. Did Haye sign for the fight hoping he could get himself sorted by Feb 8? The fight was put off for four months which is longer than is need for a cut. People can point to a packed schedule in the MEN around Christmas but there were good dates available in December and January.
That's what I wonder a bit about too. People accuse him of only being about money/acting etc. He loses by not fighting because if he loses in the ring he still gets his payday. If he wins (which most think he would anyway) it'd set up another payday. Its a bit of a fishy one. Maybe he just doesn't want to fight anymore. I think the injury is probably genuine for the reason why wouldn't he go for the huge payday. I'd like to know how it came about or how long he had it for.
None of it matters. Perhaps David Haye and his team want people to care about these things, but for most of us it's boring and irrelevant and has been for a long time. Some people ask When did he know about this injury? ... But who really cares ? It's so non-boxing it's ridiculous. David Haye's shoulder, David Haye's toe, David Haye's hand, David Haye's cut eye, David Haye's arse. Picture of David Haye in hospital bed. David Haye's retirement, David Haye's non-retirement.
I can't remember which video it was with Hearn but he has asked something like "Would Anthony Joshua ever fight David Haye?" and Hearn quickly retorted "Haye won't be around in two years". He likely knew something. Hearn has lost money on Haye (the deal that never was) and so has Fury. I can see things getting very spicy indeed from Fury's end if Haye does fight Vitali in the Summer.
But it was his choice, wasn't it? He had an eliminator in his hands ... which he and his team said was the plan all along ... and then they drop it in hopes of a payday vs. a guy who fights every year or two and pulls out of fights routinely.
Fury should have never signed up to fight celebrity haye. haye at HW has done more damage to boxing in this country than anyone in recent memory hopefully he ****s of for good and takes his celebrity circus clown wwf bull **** with him.
occam's razor states the injury is legit. some people are just injury prone. it strikes me as highly possible it's a weight-training injury, any experts able to comment?
Haye probably knew about this and intended on having it fixed in time! I like how Skysports have put a picture of him in his hospital bed! lol, that just makes it look even more staged... Look David is actually in hospital and he has had an operation...ohhhhh poor David. Was a big Haye fan, wish him well but just stop mucking around in boxing.
