Wilder obviously has decent power. But everyone saying he needs to KO some top 10 fightets to prove it have a point. How are you going to use Spzilka, who jumped face first into Wilders punch, as an example. Expecially when he got sparked out in his next fight as well.

Yeah and even before that.... He was down multiple times against Mollo, stopped by light hitting Jennings, broken jaw against a shot McCline, down and hurt by journeyman Saulsberry.... Yet he was winning rounds against Wilder and arguably slightly ahead when stopped.

Nobody can really comment on Wilder's power because he's only fought A. Cans or B. Glass Jawed contenders

Chris Byrd would look like a KO artist had he fought Wilder's resume.

Whilst I agree Wilders resume is 95% cans....that power is real enough. He will only go longer rounds than earlier fights...which is exactly what happened since he first fought Stiverne until the rematch that is. I hope Ortiz can pill it off...but it' not hard to see Wilder come out the victor in this one...just hope Ortiz can prove what many of us suspect of Wilder. For me though his power is real enough and as long as he is in a fight he remains dangerous. He's like a poor mans heavyweight version of Tommy Hearns...

Plus he was eating FLUSH right hands from Wilder pretty well. He had to run into the shot to get knocked out.

people dont understand that the reason why wilder seems to punch hard is because his opponents stay in range of his full extension of his right hand and fear of getting knocked out, so they stay away from him which is where he can generate the most power. so he gets full leverage and of course he's going to knock them out. his opponents psyche themselves out because of his reputation so they end up being another victim.

tip to joshua if you read this forum from Kratos: bum rush Wilder like you did with Klitschko and youll have an easy night, dont box him.

How is it you think that or what you're leading into is a logical response to what I said?

I can measure the power of a punch, all you need is a weighted pendulum and tape, but since I'm not a great boxer I guess I have to assume had I got George Foreman in the room to measure it with me, like magic, that power would melt away huh?

Joshua only has TKO level power even against lowly journeymen. He didn't even put Martin to sleep. Martin just quit. He also does what Lewis does and tries to grab, rabbit punch then land another. Wlad has a better chin than advertised and Joshua was doing the same with him. Grabbing the back of the head to pull him down then release another shot.

Joshua's just more conventionally skilled than Wilder and usually a good conventional can beat an unorthodox type of fighter like Wilder. The concern with Joshua is his stamina mid rounds. He could win every round vs Wilder then get rocked mid way.

I'd say Wilder's one punch power is better but the difference is negligible at that weight.

Joshua's fought like 16 cans and never really put them to sleep. A lot of them could just get back up and continue to face another barrage.

Wilder's speed helps his power more than the technique. He jumps in with all his power in his punch and catches them whilst they're stationary.

The only scientific method of concluding that someone is an elite level puncher is if they have dropped and stopped other elite level fighters.

What part of that statement is difficult for you to understand, and appologies if english isnt your first language.

In Boxing it is very common, for supposed power punchers to no longer drop and stop any opponents, once they enter the best boxers in the division and start losing. Part of being an elite level fighter is having a better defence and having good punch resistance.
