I thought this fight was going to be an immediate sell out. Can someone explain to me why this fight is in Manchester This content is protected and not London? Maybe it's common knowledge why it is being staged in Manchester but I'd appreciate if someone could let me know why. The fact the fight isn't sold out says to me the fight fans of the North of England know: "when it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it is a duck."
probably because the MEN holds over 20k and have a track record of holding big fights and people can walk back into town in 5 minutes from the venue London doesnt have that
The 02 Arena is the only venue in London which isn't a football stadium that holds 20k+ so its the biggest available arena. Hopefully your right Slap and fans realise its bull****. Pretty sure Ruiz was fully sold out after a few weeks.
I doubt its still an issue but Haye tickets sales for the Barrett fight were poor. He was originally set to have 4 fights there.
maybe the Barret fight when they had to give tickets away on the cheap? I've been to big fights in both the O2 and the MEN and the Manchester venue is far better.
What do you mean no?? Of course it is! Where do consider the centre of manchester to be then? 5 mins walk from the MEN and you are IN the centre of manchester!
Maybe it's that lads but i remember it being mentioned also the Star Wars thing when they had it down for the Ruiz fight...maybe they just thought stay in Manchester.
The Printworks which is one of the top night hang outs places is probably a 90 second walk from the M.E.N, the rest of the town all within 5/10 mins walk.
