What worries me is the actual amount of genuine interest in the fight. A quick scope of Twitter will confirm that

Let's Go Champ will be very popular among the unsuspecting public fools and repeats of Briggs taking out a Harry Potter physique wearing boxing gloves will be shown time and again

What worries me more is that this is being talked about as a WBA eliminator.

Well farcical as it is they're both in the WBA top ten so from there you can see how the governing body will see that as a viable option.

It really shows you how flawed/corrupt their ranking system is.

Briggs has generated hype he didn't have before his comeback, no problem with the dude making some coin.

The worrying thing is that Briggs stands an increased chance of getting killed or permanently damaged.
I'm surprised he's licensed to box in the UK.

To any informed boxing fan Haye is irrelevant as a world contender these days but he's a real danger to a walking punch bag like Briggs.

If the fight does take place hopefully the referee will recognize all this and jump in at the first sign of trouble. Or Briggs takes a dive. It's not going to be worth watching either way but Shannon doesn't deserve to been brained by Haye just because everyone wants to make a few quid.
I don't know why anyone would buy this.:huh

The fight will happen but there is no way it will be on PPV.

    I agree with this.

Regarding the fight, who is paying the salary for each fighter? How can haye afford to pay for the fight when Dave don't pay for his fights.

He has no TV revenue. Is he actually hoping that some TV executive is gonna pay for the fight before he confirms it has been made.

Don't see how the fight gets made on FTA.

Dave probably would pay a decent ish rights fee for the fight (as much as £100k) but as you say it's tricky to see how this is on FTA TV unless ITV want to take a punt. Clearly both fighters have been and will be on a lot less money than they have been earlier in their careers to make this fight happen.

Sky rights fees aren't much higher- you have to remember that the average Sky show commands a rights fee of just £200k.

I hope Haye keeps active but he clearly needs to step up his opposition in the winter.

Briggs at the Burns fight in Glasgow selling the Haye fight.

Big Abdul said 2 weeks ago discussions were underway in Sky for the Haye v Briggs Pay per Poo card.

Beginning to believe this is happening although the Big Man never feeds us any shyte.

    Pay per Poo anyone?
