I wonder what everyone says after Evander beats Hayes ass?

Before everyone starts naysaying, remember that:

    1. Holyfield actually beat Valuev, but was robbed of the decision. Haye lost to Valuev, but was gifted the decision.

    2. Holyfield beat a fresher version of Valuev.

    3. Holyfield wasn't afraid to bang with Valuev, where Haye fought like a sissy.

    What all that means, is:

    4. Holyfield won't be a bit afraid of Haye's pansy ass.

    5. Holyfield has forgot more about boxing than Haye knows.

    6. Holyfield has a granite chin, and he's been in with bigger punchers than Haye and survived.

I'd say this fight is 50/50 now, and if it happened ten years ago I'd have bet the farm on Holyfield to win.

There are actually people here saying "this fight needs to happen".
WHY? Because Holyfield needs to know there's no place for him at world level? Everybody already knows!
But we give the old man a 100th WBA world title shot to show him he doesn't belong at that level? Who comes up with this kinda crap?!

I believe some Haye fans don't want their hero to fight good opposition at all.. They just want to see him winning against guys who shouldn't be fighting for any serious title (ok, the WBA hasn't really been serious at hw for over a decade now) at all.

Haye is cleaning up the HW division... from the rubbish.

This would be the worst possible fight for Haye. He fights and beats an ageing ATG........sorry, but it would only do harm.

I would cry if this fight was announced.

I'm ashamed to admit it makes perfect sense too.

Not at all. I've always wanted him in against the best and I'd argue that most people wanted (and still want) to see Haye - Klitschko.

    Stupid fight.

Haye destroys the poor guy in 3 rounds, Holyfield is a shadow of his former self.

  8. Honestly, even though Holyfield is clearly WAAAYYYY past it, I think he takes Haye the distance in a competitive fight. The Holyfield vs. Valuev and Haye vs. Valuev fights are a good measuring stick to predict what happens between Haye and Holyfield. I'm not predicting a win for Holyfield, and I'm not even saying I want to see the fight or that the fight should happen... I'm just saying I bet it's competitive and that Holyfield doesn't get destroyed like some on here are asserting.

...and you have just proved my point. Anglosaxon is just a general troll, 46-0 is a Calzaghe troll, this is blatantly obvious from their posts. Maybe you arent' familiar with them, but they are just joking (badly) all the time. Don't take these people seriously, they do not represent the average British fan. I have no idea who Headbanger is.

I don't think Haye would take this matchup, too much risk.

If you think about it ... it would make perfect sense. Fits right into Haye's victims at HW. Old, past his best, needs the money badly, slow reflexes but marketable name.

Just like Haye always said the Klits only fight old handpicked nobodies so does he. Holyfield would be the ultimate bum victim for Haye :deal

Sorry, but this sounds like a desperate attempt to make a case for Holyfield. Haye was reluctant against Valuev, so what? Valuev was reluctant as hell against Holyfield. Haye KO'd Ruiz, something Evander didn't come close to in three attempts. Holyfield has lost to Toney and Ibragimov, fighters I wouldn't favor over Haye. His once great chin hasn't been tested against a big puncher in a long time and given how he was hurt against Toney, it is very possible that is punch resistance isn't anywhere near what it used to be.

I dislike Haye by the way and would love to see him lose.
