What kind of paying gate could they get, or won't that really matter coz of the payment made by Gabon? What about the USA? Will there be much PPV interest here or is it going to be an all European affair for PPV?
I think the fight will take place in London or in Germany. In Germany we have the Schalke-Arena, which has an attendance of 62000 seats and a roof to close when the weather is bad. Klitschko-Management booked it for the first fight as well and it was sold out fast. In London I remember the Stamford Bridge was on the line for a fight. I don´t think, that in the US there would be such a big event and it would also be kind of unfair to the british and german boxing-fans.
Regarding ppv sales in America, I believe this fight will do fine! David has stirred up sufficient controversy thus far (with plenty more to come no doubt) to ensure that many of our American cousins will buy this fight simply in the hope that they witness David get beat up! I'm a Haye fan, I want him to win, I don't think he will (I would LOVE to be proved wrong!!) but I am delighted that all his hard work in promoting this fight is going to pay off in such spectacular style!!! Well played David!! Now, all you've got to do is beat Ruiz!!
Wembley would be great! I hope they can arrange that, but the fight has to happen in summer then. The Schalke-Arena has the advantage of a roof that can be closed when it starts to rain. So we´ll see what happens, but I can´t see the fight going on in an other location than London or Germany.
Wont happen in Africa. It should happen in a massive football arena in Europe as both are European fighters.
The Kilts are the big men in the divison, I am sure they will dicate the venue for any fight. Africa does not seem like a good place for them - it might hype the fight up a lot through and bring in more PPV sales. If I were a Klit I would make Haye fight in Switzerland!!
