    Don't forget his cruiserweight exploits.

    beat Patterson? Maybe.
    KO Patterson? No way
Ingo hit him with an 'all he had' Tonder.
Sonny said he'd never hit anyone harder and felt the jolt into his lower shoulder!
    And Floyd was still rising.
Enough of this 'every fantasy matchup HW KO's him!'
Not to mention different eras (I just did )
    Lay off an ATG!!

Most fighters who 'look good' against similar level of opposition don't get the same high rating that people are giving Haye though.
There's nothing to back up the idea that he's a head-to-head threat at the highest levels.
Sure, against someone with chin issues like Patterson (a blown-up light-heavy) Haye has a strong puncher's chance. But real decent prime HEAVYweights with proven records should be favoured over Haye.

He hardly did anything there either. Fragomeni, Maccharielli, Mormeck ... it's hardly the stuff of legend.

All top 3 fighters, all failed to see the final bell.

Not sold on the outcome either way.. Yeah Patterson was knockdown prone and didn't have the best chin in the world. And David is a hard puncher. But looking at Haye's accomplishments there isn't much there to get excited about. Basically everything in his win column is all garbage and his less than courageous effort with Wlad doesn't exactly prompt me to put him in the ring with all time great warriors.

Giaccobe Fragomeni wasn't in anyone's top 3 when Haye fought him. I doubt he was top 10 at CW (but he might've been).

Enzo Macchiarelli held an alphabet belt when Haye fought him, but again, I don't think he was top 3 cruiserweight. Maybe top 5.

Mormeck was a good win. He was the main champ.

A more accurate description of Enzo rather than "top 3 fighter" would be "****ing shite".

He went on to be top 3 though.

Big Mac was fukin shite but still the big rival fans wanted haye to fight before moving up.

Haye might not be the most proven resume wise, I certainly agree, I just think he looks good on film and good enough to stop Patterson.

That's the crux of it. He's a bit too 'unproven', which means it requires an act of faith to believe in him.

Sophia Loren looked great on film but I strongly suspect Sonny Liston would have slaughtered her.

I agree. It is a leap of faith. One I'm willing to take though.

Jennifer Anniston looks great on film and I'd sure as **** destroy her :good
