Does anybody know what time this fight will start? Just wondering if it will be in the early hours of the morning to satisfy the American TV stations Cheers
No i believe it will be on tape for HBO when they have Hopkins vs Jones PPV on same night. So Haye-Ruiz will be a British start time from 10.30-12.
I think they are mate. Maybe i'm wrong i hope i am but i think it is PPV. I don't want the fight to happen but Jones just doesn't seem to accept he's best days are gone and he will always be a ATG. He so worried that people don't think he is that he continues to try prove his worth. Maybe his childhood has something to do with that but just hope this will be his last time. I think the undercard may make it worth PPV out there. I wonder if sky will show Jones-Hopkins as part of box office package that night...cos that would make a massive bargain for £15
Dont know the start time. But I willing to take a punt on the ending time. I'll go for Ruiz to weather a early storm and wear down Haye for a 10th round stoppage. (Hope Haye dosent run all night to a points decsion in this fight and actually trys to fight)
Thanks for the replies. Should be a great night of boxing. Hoping SKY show the Jones Hopkins fight too - it will be just like the days back in the 90's when they used to show the big cards from over here and then cross over to the States
Agreed. I might consider paying for it then. I looking forward to seeing Jones V Hopkins - because they two oldies now but it is still interesting to see how the fight will go.
I see haye breaking the mode quite early and landing some heavy shots..only time will tell when the ref stops it..
Well the thing is............. Haye is a banger - no doubt - and he can take people out. He took Gurov out. He took Mormeck out. He splattered Maccarenelli's legs to jelly. But I dont think he has ever taken out a fighter of John Ruiz's calibure of durabilty. He took a fringe contender out early in Bonin - and that was very impressive. Journeyman Monte Barret took him a few rounds - and hurt him. Valuev took him full 12. Ruiz is a tough nut to crack and with his experience he might start to get to Haye as the fight goes on. So I say Ruiz has got a good chance of making a good fight of this - and maybe causing a upset.
