I think it would be a very tough fight for Haye whether he wins or loses. Skelton is big, tough and very durable with a decent punch, he has all the hallmarks of a fighter who would give Haye trouble. Having said that i would put Haye as the favourite maybe 60/40.
i feel haye would be too young and quick for skelton, however i would give skelton a shot as he is tough and durable and does have a punch. skelton would be a good first opponent for haye.
Haye would batter Skelton. I think Skelton would be competitive for a few rounds and also would be able to mess Haye about with his style. However, the gulf in class would show as Skelton tires and Haye would begin to land with force and regularity. Don't be suprised if Haye has Skelton off his feet at some stage. I'd go for Haye to win on points.
Haye takes it, Skelton is too slow and old. Not sure if Haye will be able to TKO/KO him but a decision is guaranteed if not KO/TKO.
Skelton's chin isn't proven beyond domestic level, and he clinches so his opponent rarer gets the time to hit him with a flush combination. Haye is far too quick, far too skilled and far too powerful. This doesn't go the distance. Haye inside 6.
