He's so used to the promos & opponents being stagemanaged that maybe he senses he may be in trouble here. That this guy is serious. He certainly looked unsure to me.
I thought Valuev looked ready as **** to be honest in the staredown did not see any fear at all in him in fact I thought it was unusual he did not walk away fairly quickly he is not normally interested in that at all, but this time he seemed really up for it. Haye may have got to him a little I reckon, not sure if that is good or bad news to be honest
I don't read much into staredowns to be honest, either at the weigh-in or instructions. But Haye's in top shape and that a great thing as far as I'm concerned.
what was said/chanted? Ive heard on the radio several times today Valuev get refered to as a freak/monster etc. I never thought much of it, but the Bunce article opened my eyes a bit and TBH it now really annoys me. you can rile a fighter/hype a fight without the unnecessary insults. If some dickhead like Marina wanted to, this could get used detrimentally against the sport and its fans.
It was the usual ''Who are ya?'' Hardly a big deal - albeit a bit dull. I have heard far worse at Elland Road :yep:roll::yep
I agree thats not really an offensive chant, as you say football fans can get very personal. Thats what i was imagining.
I think it is now certain (if there was any doubt to begin with) that King has options on Haye should he win. A potential stumbling block if he wants to fight the Klits.
The fact that Haye went to hug King as he went on stage. Also there didn't seem to be anybody from Golden Boy present at the weigh-in, despite the fact that this fight could turn Haye into one of their major moneymakers. Or perhaps I'm looking into things too deeply. Also noticed the tits on the General saying Haye is on steroids.
