Can a former cruiser like Haye beat a giant like Valuev?

    Chagaev beat him.

Haye will weigh at least as much as Chagaev at HW, is taller and has a longer reach.

Your question (...a former Cruiser...) implies a question mark over whether physical limitations would stop Haye from beating Valuev. The answer is clearly that they wouldn't.

Not sure, Valuev won't be Ko'ed by Haye's overhand straight right and will haye reach him well enough with It, since Daivd bends a little low with It.

Valuev could spoil him with the clinches too.

Haye's stamina is the question. Valuev for all his weaknesses, has superb stamina and gets stronger in the later rounds. If Haye gets too excited and punches himself out early, I can see a late stoppage for Valuev.

Little man is going to get blown out in a matchup like this. Valuev will dominate Haye with his jab, size, and power. In addition besides being chinny, Haye also doesn't have good staminia.

    Valuev ko9 Haye

I think Haye could work well with the great Mackie Shilstone

Haye may wear himself out trying to chop down Valuev and end up getting TKOed himself. He'd have to pace himself and box his way to an easy victory. Valuev seems to have a great chin and may be one of the few fighters able to absorb Haye's bombs. Even the biggest punchers in history ended up facing someone that they couldn't KO. For Haye, Valuev might be one of those guys.

IMO you have no clue what you're talking about. You don't have the slightest idea what it means to be of Valuev's size. Of course he is slow, he is ****ing 320 lbs, ever thought about that? You expect him to move like a featherweight? His knees would bust in two rounds. You expect him to throw as many power punches and combinations as Cruiserweights? He would be dead tired after two rounds. Valuev is severley underrated, he is by far the best boxer of his size there ever was. Valuev always comes in shape and has stamina for twelve rounds, something you can't say about guys like Haye. Trust me, if big guy like Valuev lands some punches, chinny Haye will feel it and sit on his arse soon enough.

Who on Earth said that Haye fights like Chagaev?

I was responding to a poster who said that Haye would lose based on size alone.

Is it too much to ask that people actually read the thread before replying?

Exactly and Haye wouldn't fight that type of fight anyway. Chagaev stuck to the gameplan of moving, unloading a few hooks, and getting the hell out. I can see Haye being so in love with his power that he would actually go out there with the intention of trying to take Valuev out and that's just not happening. Haye would have to employ some type of strategy similar to Chagaev.
