Haye v Vitali is the only fight that makes sense at the moment.

The vacant wouldn't be against Wlad as this would reduce the earning potential for the WBC. Rest assured it would be Adamek/Povetkin/Peter etc.

Are you messing?! Chambers!! He got destroyed by Klitschko and has never even shown 1/10th of the talent Haye has

Chambers got destroyed because he had the guts to step in the ring with Wlad. He would easily beat anybody Haye has beaten, cruiserweights and 36+ year old slow HW's aren't exactly an indication of how deep Haye's talent is when it comes to the elite HW level. Chamber's win over Dimitrenko was far more impressive than Haye's over Valuev. Beating Peter, who was only beaten by the Klitschkos before, is as good as beating Ruiz who already had losses to Valuev and Klitschko - victim Chagaev.

Haye has more power, Chambers has much better defense and overall skills. Why is Haye more talented? He has some brilliant attributes, but is also a sloppy fighter, off balance, easy to hit. Chambers at leats has the guts to fight the best, is classy and respectful.

Haye is out of the picture. He is not willing to take risks. Vitaliy KlitschKO has better fights to deal with.

Like anyone who is willing to take risks. Haye is not one of those. His only options rely on fighting elderly people like Harrison, Valuev, Meehan, Hopkins.

But it's Wladimir who Haye was originally calling out and who then called Haye out. I think Haye and his fans are getting nervous at the prospect of the Wlad fight and that's why they are now favouring a fight with Vitali instead. Personally, I don't think Haye get's past either brother so he may as well go for Wlad as that is the bigger fight of the two.

Vitali vs Haye is the fight to be made, regardless of if Wlad is available or not........in my opinion.

But does anyone know if they've made any progess on putting together the Vitali vs Valuev fight?

Haye or Valuev is Vitali's best, and only, decent choices. Aside from those two, I guess he would have to fight a Solis level fighter......he may be able to get away with that, I guess.

It's been well documented that haye and his team always wanted VK first. I agree that this fight makes more sense than the Wlad one. If Haye can beat VK he adds another belt to his WBA strap, which gives him more leverage in future talks with Wlad.

Plus he has a better chance of beating Vitali IMO. I think he will be too quick for him

Would be a great spectacle. Sky could sell it in the UK from the Lennox angle but the fight would have to be in Germany as it'll be too cold by Sept/Oct and our stadiums don't have roofs.

Vitali is retiring after Valuev fight... Haye blew his chance last year, but maybe his fan-base can turn it upside down: Mighty Haye scared old Vitali into retirement...
