Paulfv - for all the reasons you've listedVit is (as I stated) a legitimate and heavy favourite. I just felt vs Gomez what (imo) has been his greatest gift his ability to utterly control distance looked diminished - at times he was late to catch Gomez moving out. I also felt he reached more and looked open to fast counters it's just that Gomez left was always too far out because he was moving away from Vit right. My point re Haye / Hide is you have to giv the guy credit for Mormeck & Maccarenelli and delivering at a level that Hide never reached - yes he was wbo heavy champ but Bentt, Tucker, Damon Reed and Willi Fischer is not exactly inspiring. It aint a classic but I just like the match-up.
:good Fair enough -- but Monte Barrett isn't so inspiring, either. I do hope Haye gets to fight either/both of the Klitschkos. I was really upset the June 20th date had to be moved. But if Haye is hurt, he's hurt. * This content is protected - Chef (Wlad/Klitschko 'insider') said on a thread (named "Chef") that got moved to The Lounge that there have been baby steps in talks or something between Haye and Vitali. Guess we'll see where it all ends up, but at least there does seem to be some credence to the talk. Here's the single post from Chef: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4223768&postcount=32 Here's the thread link (Chef's post about the Vitali-Haye info is #32): http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146835
You have to have a real set of stones to predict a guy (Vitali) will be KO'd who's never even been off of his feet as a boxer, including in fights against Lennox Lewis and Corrie Sanders. LOL :nut
Does not mean that he never will be. Haye has explosive power, dont be shocked if he does knock vitali down
He did, he looked bad. Particularly in the first few rounds. I hope that Vitali's showing against Gomez gives Haye's people the confidence to make a fight. It should.
