Haye's only chance is to move away from Vitali, surprise him with a blitz attack and KO him before Vitali gets the chance to fire back. Very, very unlikely, but Vitali didn't look good in the first few rounds and has somewhat slowed down. He also will be 38 when the fight happens, and there is always the danger of having one fight too many.
It's funny that a few on here were suggesting that Haye pulled out because he was scared and now he's fighting the better of the two brothers!
Haye by KO. Vitali is older, slower, less mobile than his brother, and I don't think he'll be able to handle the speed and aggression of Haye.
Comparing opponents between Vitali and Haye is NOT an argument in Haye's favor. Haye's best wins in H2H terms are Mormeck and Barrett. How would Mormeck and Barrett fare against Donald, Hide, Sanders, Johnson, Williams, Gomez? Vitali's best wins easily beat Haye's best wins H2H. Vitali is the only active fighter I can think of who never had an opponent look good against him, win or lose. He has been in the ring with harder punchers than Haye, better technicians and certainly with fighters with far better chins. Haye is a good package, but he was usually the bigger, stronger guy in his fights. To beat Vitali, he would have to come up with a very different game plan, be more defensive, try to win on points. maybe he can do it, but to assume he will give Vitali a brutal beating is silly.
Decide, on who would you bet your house? _____ Vitaly_____Or_____ Haye_____ This content is protected This content is protected
Haye is looking for that big payday, and hopes to get lucky somehow like what happened when Vitali fought Byrd. Let's hope it happens though.
vitali is too slow and a sitting duck for haye and his fast onslaught, i see VK taking a knee VK look slow against gomez for christ sakes
Juan Carlos Gomez would decision Haye and might even knock him out late. He's a much better boxer than Haye...................and his chin is far superior.
All of you saying Haye would win with one shot...Has he ever thrown a punch harder than the Uppercut Lennox hit Vitali with? Unless he thinks he can outbox Vitali or his age will be a factor, I'd aim for the younger brother.
