:roflatsch @ the Haye fans saying Vitali gets injured during the fight or knocked out. Haye is a Glass Jawed joke that is way out of his league against Vitali Klitschko. Haye will get beaten to a pulp.
I thought Gomez fought exceptionally well against Vitali, but was up against an insurmountable power/chin disadvantage, ultimately.
Against Peter, Vitali's slowed down speed was not a factor, but it really showed against Gomez, who was a very game opponent. I agree, I don't think Haye has the mental toughness to last past 10 rounds with Vitali, who still has his hand speed and his power (more than enough to stop Haye).
No, he WAS a much better boxer than Haye. Prime for prime Gomez dominates Haye - but Gomez isn't the same fighter nowadays.
So far, nobody has used speed effectively against Vitali. He has the best reflexes of any really big man ever (6'5 and above), this coupled with his height, he is very hard to hit. Vitali might have problems with a tall, slick defensive artist, but such a fighter is not around. Fighters relying on speed and power are toast against Vitali.
Vladimir Virchis is considered by some to be the heaviest handed puncher of all current heavys & Gomez beat & outboxed him winning by UD.
You could already see how much Gomez has slowed down when fighting Virchis. Virchis is known to be very, very heavy handed but exceptionally slow, so he spends many, many rounds not hitting his opponent at all. Nevertheless, Gomez escaped his punches at times only razor thin, and vs. Klitschko, he paid for being slower than he used to be. And yes, I also noticed how much Vitali has slowed down vs. Gomez due to age. With Peter it was a non-factor, since he threw his punches with his normal speed from a stationary position. With Gomez he needed quite a couple of rounds to start connecting. But again, he will only lose rounds to Haye until he starts connecting, even when it is late in the fight that will be Hayes end within the same round, at most the next one. But I was refering to his CONDITION not being any worse than it was a couple of years ago, he just got slower. The breathing is not different to the Lewis fight.
:huhNot sure why this was relevant to my post.My post implied that Klitschko fans might suggest Gomez was ruined by Vitali just like they did with Peter
Yes, but Virchis' boxing skill is negligible - unlike Gomez, who merely did the very minimum I expected of him.
Saying he outboxes Haye is very kind, every ****er under the sun KTFO Haye usually-particularly those who either Klitschko has fought:deal
