Who else thinks Haye maybe could of stopped Vlad if he'd of gambled and tried to KO him instead of being more worried about getting KO'd himself.
There should not be "IF" Haye had his chance and did not attack like he should have, after all that talk i would respect him so much more if he got KOd trying, or at least really tried. The worst part is his excuse after the fight his toe atsch
He did gamble and tried to KO him. Rewatch the 12th. Wlad did his octupus routine and that was the end of it. Haye could only have won if he was able to KO Wlad with one punch, and Wlad has never been knocked out cold after over fifty fights.
i think round 12 said it all Haye did open up and landed a good right Wlad did not topple over like Haye said was gonna happen then Wlad landed multiple right hands and dominated the rest of the round if Haye opened up he would have been KO'd
then he would have been stopped himself, haye figured this out in round 4 when that huge right landed which nearly dropped him( respect for staying up) and he got on his bike for the remaining rounds till round 12.
I respect Hayes talent as an athlet but his and Booths gameplan flat out sucked. Waiting for the right moment and try to do a Corrie Sanders on him. They must have been delusional.
He might have been but he was never gonna win on his bike.I still think he best chance was to go for broke.Better get KO'd trying i say
they had no plan, like most of Wlads foes they assume Wlad is glass jawed and weak and expect to just hit Wlad and have him collapse Haye would wind up these big windmill bar fight looking shots from across the ring that any body could have seen coming and Wlad would just take a step or two back and Haye would miss horribly now if Wlad would have made Haye pay for these telegraphed lunges we may have gotten a KO
Well if someone challenges for a world tittle he should not "wait" 12 rounds to land his bomb and hope that KOs his opponent, he just had to try more, more risk more chance to KO Wlad, i believe he would get more respect if he got KOd really trying not running for most of the night.
The closest was round nine, Haye does a funny dance after being tagged, near the ropes. Strangely the U.K broadcasters didnt mention it.
Haye did try to attack with those big telegraphed lunges I think Haye just isnt as good of a boxer as we were led to believe and he fought a guy who could handle his unorthodox and mobile style and Haye jsut didnt have any idea on what to do Haye is a one punch fighter if his right doesnt land he is a cyclist and thats what happened
