Yup - it would definitely seem to be the case..... Remember when the WBA said they would 'make a decision' on the Chagaev vs Wlad match and waited till the very day of the fight to say it was not for the belt? Well they're now saying they've 'yet to make a decision' on whether Valuev vs Haye would be for the belt. Now call me a cynic but history repeats itself & to me if the sanctioning body can't make a decision within a few days of a fight being announced or at least signify which way its leaning the situation is highly dubious at best. After all how hard a decision can this be? Now add that this is the WBA we are talking about here and Ruiz is bitching in the corner and I highly doubt this fight will end up for the WBA belt. Be funny to see Haye 'get another injury' if this is the case but at the same time annoying because of the action's the WBA persist on taking.
With this kind of horse****, the WBA devalues its title even more than it already is. Shame that the oldest of the boxing organizations would degenerate to this, but I am not surprised.
Wow. Now even I wouldn't say that! Maybe sent to jail for his many crimes against the sport of boxing, but not that.
The WBA is a total joke. However, I would not be surprised if this went either way. They did magically give Haye a #4 ranking. I imagine that is so they can justify it as a title bout still.
Bang goes Haye's chances of securing a higher percentage of the purse if he wants to fight one of the Klitschko's after Valuev.
The WBA are a ****in disgrace. Just let Haye and Valuev fight for the ****in title, no1 wants to see the WBA's ***** ****buddy Ruiz fight for the title again.
I have never believed that going after Valuev was anything to do with gaining bargaining power. Haye wins the WBA belt. Claims he is the world champ. Beats up Ruiz and Meehan and Valuev in endless rematches and mandatories. One excuse after another as to why he wont fight the Klits. Wait and see. He has no intention of getting in the ring with either brother - at least until they are obviously in serious decline.
Christ, the WBA have really been a bunch of **** ups lately. Seems like their belt is permanently vacant or in some kind of bull**** interim status.
