Just watched the fight back without beer-goggles:

    1.H
    2.H
    3.H
    4.V
    5.V
    6.H
    7.V
    8.H
    9.H
    10H
    11.V
    12.H

116/112 Haye. Initially watching it live I felt that Valuev won it, have to give Haye the credit after watching it through fresh eyes.

    Well done Dave

i have only watched it once and honestly saw it as very objective because of lack of solid action.. I thought a lot of rounds could have gone either way and or been seen as even scored... 114 114 would not have been out of the question.............

But either way, Haye as a challenger should have taken the title from the champion , not just survived and avoided a fight of it... I feel a little bad for Valuev because he did try to engage Haye by stalking Haye, who did not at any real time stand and stage any great stance at grabbing victory , in fact it looked a very reluctant effort for a championship challenge..

Valouev won the fight, but the judges do what Don King tells them to do.

    :good

I watched the fight again at work yesterday (german version) and scored the fight:

    1. H
    2. H
    3. H
    4. V
    5. V
    6. H
    7. H
    8. H
    9. V
    10. H
    11. V
    12. H

Haye 116-112, which is roughly in line with how I saw it Saturday night. I did initially score rounds 4 and 9 even (a 118 -112 score would have been over generous to Haye on reflection), but I don't like even rounds so went back, viewed them again and scored them to Valuev (just, and being generous).

I love your avatar though maybe you should photoshop a pistol into one of Terry's hands.

I scored it the same as you in fairness.

How anyone can say Valuev won is beyond me. There is a difference between being negative and being evasive , clever and agile.

for example. Direll was negative. he was holding, falling to his knees etc.

Hopkins against calzaghe was negative. Holding. faking low blows.

Haye didnt do any of these things. how often did haye hold? or fall over? or fake injuries?

haye demonstrated the art of boxing beautifully.

Valuev didnt land more then 10 punches clean punches in the whole fight.

to say he won is ridiculous

I am one of those who insist that Valuev won although I would never say that Haye was negative and think that anyone who does knows **** all about boxing. When I gave rounds to haye he made Valuev look as awful as he is. My problem was that Haye only landed 1 or 2 eye catching punches in the rounds I gave to Valuev rather than the 4 or 5 I feel he needed to land to win the fight.

If Haye lands two punches, and Valuev lands nothing, Haye wins, simple as.

Exactly. Haye was to negative for for my tastes but Valuev barely landed a glove all night. There is NO reasonable argument to say Valuev won.
