you obv dont know your german "boxing market" .if Haye was that populer why did they not put this fight in a biger venue?surely if haye was a big star over there (due to his anticts) they could easily put this in avenue with 20/30 thousan even more.

If it was a 10,000 seater venue in England with an English fighter challenging for a HW title then I'd be very disappointed, but this is Valuev in Germany.
There will probably still be more Brits than locals in attendance.

I went to Nuremburg years ago. Nice place to look around, totally rebuilt in it's old style after WW2. Went via Heathrow>Munich if I remember right.

There was a bigger build up to the Klit fight with a bit of needle between the two of them. This seems more lowkey. Will it sell 10,000?

I don't know why they went for only a 10k stadium so you can't answer whether or not it would sell more.

Haye riled up the Klits fan. Haye got their fans to come out and watch them.

Haye isn't a big draw which is quite odd really given his exciting style and personality. He certainly isn't as popular as you'd expect him to be.The fight vs Barrett proves it,it wasn't a sellout I don't think and they had an offer on tickets. If people want to put that down to the opponent(Barrett in this case)then look at Hatton/Lazcano.It might be slightly different with Hattons football fans but there are other examples

Agreed. Just shows you the influence that Sky has on sports fans. Hattons been with them in some form since the beginning of his career hasn't he?
Hopefully Haye can achieve something similar but he'll never be perceived as a "man of the people"

Reason haye is not a draw is because he's not busy enough. 5 fights in 3 years ain't going to make anyone a star.

It ain't **** to do with Haye. Haye has proven time and time again he can't sell out. He struggled to sell out the O2 and now they've got a 10k stadium. If the demand was high they would have had a football stadium again.

The Klitschko's have a crazy following.

Yeah I went to Nuremburg during the football world cup 2006, we was based in Munich and got the train up there, if I remember rightly it was about 2 hours away from Munich on the train???

As it goes, Munich is a fantastic place for a weekend, so might be an idea for peole, although at a 10,000 venue they'll be plenty of beds in Nuremberg to cater for all, and German cities are generally good places to have a night out in.
