Please tell me when Cunningham should've called out Haye. And you act like Haye has never lied before. Just because he claimed he would move up in weight, doesn't mean he would actually do it.
Haye didn't want to fight him, He was a nobody for him and he didn't wan't to prove no more a Cruiser, He was looking at better fish to fry.
"When should he have called out Haye?" Perhaps around the time Haye KO'd Mormeck and unified the titles? Wouldnt that make more sense rather than calling out Haye after the Enzo fight, after he'd been publically saying how weight drained he is and how he would be moving upto heavyweight after. And when did Haye lie? What makes Cunningham so good, he was gifted a decision against Guillermo Jones and struggled with Rothmann aswell and the guy cant punch either, how would he beat Haye?
The problem is that Monte was a better now name that Cuningham, a fighter that noboy had see him on tv.
Huh, I nver thought about that. Wait a minute, Haye fought Mormeck and won his first title in Nov. of 2007. Cunningham had a mandatory defense against Hauck scheduled for Dec. of 2007. So It wouldn't have made sense for Cunningham to call out Haye until after he beat Hauck(he was a 4/1 underdog in that fight). Wouldn't you know that Haye had scheduled a fight with Macca by the time Cunningham fought Hauck. Guess what else? Cunningham said he wanted the winner of Haye/Macca about a week after the Hauck fight. So tell me again, when should Cunningham have called out Haye? He claimed the Mormeck fight was his last at CW, that was a lie. He claimed he cleaned up the CW division, that was a lie. He claimed his redebut at HW would be against a top 10 HW, that was a lie. Cunningham keeps getting better and better. The fight against Jones was not a gift. The guy is pretty fast, rangy, puts his punches together well, has great stamina, works the body well and is solid defensively. Haye has tons of holes in his defese and has stamina issues. I can see U.S.S countering Haye, working that body, and taking over the fight down the stretch. At the same time, Haye is a very talented fighter and would deservingly be the favorite in the fight. However, just because Haye would be expected to win doesn't mean Cunningham wasn't a worthy opponent. The Klits would be heavy favs over Haye, yet they are still willing to fight him.
